She’s taken construction as a GCSE, this being the first time the course has been offered to girls. Can’t encourage enough the people that want to achieve. @@lukeoreilly960 exactly. Not being sexist but the female body is not normally built for the same level of abuse that a strong male can endure, although there are exceptions obviously but it's generally not the case
@@Altair885 the gym may help with stability and endurance throughout mid teens all the way til retire age. Especially squats , deadlifts and back exercises. It's weather you are able to take care of yourself as well as do hard labou

No one is stopping females working on site, the reason there are no female bricklayers is simply that it is a very labour intensive job, outdoors in the freezing cold wind or scorching sun. My misses has laid bricks, took to it straight away , I think it suits females with the attention to detail they have. Let's be clear tho it's not going to be every female that are going to lay blocks 8 course, 140mm concretes and Cylinder blocks ( no. 8 ) Day in day out.

I am not sure why the fact a bricklayer is of certain gender deserves any praise or attention. If anything, brings division and categorisation, which then leads to the creation of stereotypes. Bricklayer is a bricklayer. Differentiation is in skill. There isn't such thing as 'girl power', there is the power of persistence and will.

We had a female tiler until lately, as she retired due to back issues.
She was the fastest and best tiler in the company.
Hence back injury
