If you don’t keep posture on a rubber guard fighter you are going to have some sore shoulders - this is high level stuff but frankly it pivots on the opponent not being able to keep posture or inversely, keep a lock on the half guard and do not allow full guard to develop. If someone loves rubber guard, don’t lay in their full guard, just like circle left on left hand fighters.
Pardon my ignorance as I haven't started jiu jitsu yet, but how does someone tap out to this if both of their arms are locked? It didn't look like they could tap very easily.
Been watching him for years Manny "the roach" He's is really amazing but you don't really want fight him from the guard. You best mount ... Once it's started need the guy ti mess up All traps ... Like posture up .... yea it's your only hope.. no you need lift your shoulder not your butt ... @@BJJTrickster I don't. But if you are trying to learn the technique is kinda not worth it. Is a show technique. Like if you use in street you going take damage. And you're probably going kill the guy one you get it on

Since slamming is not allowed in (most) competitions, it's a very solid submission to work for. Of course you're not going full rubberguard in a street fight.

I think it would be hard to make it on higher belts/more experienced practitioners. I might be wrong though.
I agree, it can be applied to the novice practitioner, but not to an advanced, unless they are exhausted, or much weaker.
Ask Eddie about his double knee replacement! This kid won't doing this when he's 40. Jiu jitsu is about the long game.
