- What an amazing day out metal detecting in the river! I came across an old pistol that someone probably tossed in the water, no telling the story behind it. An armed bandit was drinking carona at the river after robbing an arcade for all their quarters, when his belt broke and his pants fell down dumping out his car keys, his stolen change and his pistol, when he dove in after it he lost his shades, when rifling through the rocks he lost his rings, then a flash flood!!! he almost drowned until his accomplice threw out a rope, but forgot to unravel it! Then before his friend drowned, in a last ditch effort he threw in his gas can, quickly the bandit used the can as a flotation device to get to safety.... He took that near death experience and turned a new leaf, he converted to a Buddhist and lives in a temple somewhere in Asia...

I'm 10 years old nearly 11 and I've been inspired by your determination and effort and I've started metal detecting and I've found a variety of items and bought a Garrett ACE 150 on amazon and I'm currently in the English Lake District and we are going to detect some old Roman sites and hoping to find some gold coins and make millions! I doubt it but without out hope there is no excitement earlier today me and my dad found an old chunk of an old railway made of iron.

You should try on every pair of sunglasses you find. If there is not too much river slime on them.
The fact that is a raven .25acp makes me think it’s definitely a murder weapon from the 80s or 90s.

That’s exactly what it is. I have one and it is actually pretty reliable. The older ones were better. Still could be a good chance that it was used in a crime. Bad guys like cheap guns

You should contact cops when you find guns. People often toss guns used in murders or shootings into rivers, assuming they will never be found. You could help a family catch their loved ones killers.

Steve Sinclair that sadly won't work. DNA traces get lost in water. It washes off very quickly and their is no way to find it. 😢
Sadly, guns have serial numbers and can be traced to previous owners.

Whoever owned that gun was most likely a female, possible the wife of a gangster. VERY small gun, typical ivory handle, and it’s tossed away.
@@ethanzaleski4841 Actually it's a misrepresentation to assume these guns are usually owned by women. Throughout the era of their popularity it wasn't uncommon for people to buy entire cases of these things to sell or use for nefarious purposes. Up until the 90's .22's and .25's were still very commonly seem as viable self defense pocket guns, and many still use them to this day.
It is, however, ridiculously correct to assume that this was likely used in some kind of criminal activity.

At 5:53 mark it appears to be a gas tank from a motorcycle. It looks like the mounting supports for the front of the tank are still intact.

good for you keeping the gun. man+river turned in a fully functional one earlier this year that had clearly just been lost. The pigs said if after 30 days if it wasn't claimed it would be "destroyed". More likely pocketed. Good luck dude, your channel is awesome.
