Just wondering. Is the release of the clutch normal if riding on the road? Seems like it's using a lot of the clutch. Asking so I have a reference for hill starts cause I'm always afraid I'll damage the clutch. If it's normal to still be on the clutch until 67kph then I'll be fine with riding clutch till 10-15kph on hill starts :P
2 years late but here is why he does it : It's a 4 cylinders which basically lack torque on the low rpm, so he's holding the clutch to reach high rpm and max torque, then he releases it because it's not needed anymore. He's optimizing the launch, but yes, it does damage the clutch way more than to release it as soon as you don't need it. It's a choice you do, either you launch slower but you don't damage the clutch, OR you can do it his way, damaging the clutch but launching as fast as possible.

hey so im currently located in thailand bangkok and im thinking of buying a CBR1000rr BUT since its a Thai Spec HP is very low and dont really want to import from lets say US or any other spec models into the country as tax and other mandatory proccesses could get a little bit annoying. Any suggestion on what i could do to improve the power output or at least make it decent enough to ride with the other liters bike here

Mr. Chase You can Remap the ECU from Thai spec to Euro spec and do some modification on Velocity Stack inside the airbox...
