Yesterday, Saturday evening, we had some friends over for a meal. By the way they are English! They enjoyed eating the (Yemista) so much they wanted the recipe. So..... When we lived in Cyprus in the olden days, we didn't have an oven and my yiayia, as well as my mother and everyone else in the neighbourhood would take their Sunday roast in the local "Fourno" Sunday roast was very rare those days for a lot of people as we were very poor! Awesome Stavros. Love it. Interesting the amount of dried mint: we (in the UK) don't traditionally go for bold flavours; I like the Greek/Cypriot use of bold seasoning! Looks great and I'll be trying this Yemista recipe soon.

Hello Tony! Thank you my friend, for your wonderful comment, and observation to the spices we use. Although it looked a big amount, it was just the right quantity. Yesterday, Saturday evening, we had some friends over for a meal. By the way they are English! They enjoyed eating the (Yemista) so much they wanted the recipe. So..... Thank you Stavros! I agree that it was just the right quantity - I wil be trying soon. I think 'British' food can suffer from being bland. I personally get through gallons of olive oil and a lot of herbs and spices :-)

Hi Tony, Sorry for not responding sooner. I have been rather busy the last few days. Yes Tony, Your assumption is correct! We do live in the UK. This is our home and I couldn't live else where. The best country in the world!! We have been living here for a very long time. Nice to go way for a holiday, but sometimes can't wait to get back home!
