My vote's for the bar. At Norwalk, my friend said, "Let's go to the 1,000ft mark." "Why?" I asked. "To watch the front wheel come down on the funny bikes." It was awesome, the riders were all over the bike trying to keep it going straight. Others were firmly planted in that seat. But watching that front wheel come down on a good pass, was like being at an airport and watching a plane land. You'd hear the tire screech, see the puff of smoke, go down there next race and you'll see what I mean.
I love no bar for the need to really ride the bike... if this makes sense. Bar though has the advantage of a rider being able to show a bikes' ultimate potential.
Hey Jack. The Brock's system is more restrictive than the Akropovic. Yean, I know the AK costs a lot more, but you get what you pay for. Also, don't be fooled by those aftermarket jet kits, they really don't add power.
No bar bikes to me have always been a gimmick. Drag racing is about using as much of that hard-earned horsepower as possible, not converting it to heat(wasting it) through a mega-dollar clutch assy. And as far as it being more "street-like", what's so *street* about a slipper clutch and a swingarm the length of a pickup bed? Long winded I know, but just my opinion.
