    Thanks for the great video! Can I use a mic cable for this to a mixer? If so, do you know up to what length I could use? Thanks again.

    If i were to connect this to a mixing soundboard, do i need an audio interface or just use the line level input?

    Hi. Thanks for the movie you released. I have a question:
    Does this device also apply to Sony AX700 ?

  • @Zack_Darce
    @Zack_Darce 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    just so everyone is aware, youcan get the rode videomic Pro Plus which plugs directly into the camera and turns on when the camera turns on for 300 bucks. Just tested it and it works with loud drums without clipping. you could also spend 200 more than the price of the device on the video and get the zoom H6 which comes with an intwrchangable XY microphone that you can switch out for different capsules and 4 XLR inputs all of which you can connect directly to your camera to record a total of 6 inputs if you want. This device is cool but there's lots of other options

      I use the zoom h6 with a 3.5mm cable out of the monitor out into my Sony a7sii - the zoom is awesome quality and I like the option of having multi-tracked audio recorded on the zoom unit as a backup. But I'm still tempted by the Sony xlr k1m or k2m just for the hot shoe connector - it would mean one less cable, and I wouldn't have to worry about the sometimes flimsy 3.5mm input on the sony a7sii. Decisions decisions...

    Considering the price of this unit, the self-noise is quite high and bad... Yes, buttons, knobs and XLR plugs are all nice, but clean low noise audio should also be part of the package. A Zoom H6 sounds way cleaner and is way cheaper. A bit disappointing...

    Hi. I have a Sony XLR K2m and a Sony A7rii. Could you explain how I best use the attenuation and low pass filters - what settings would be appropriate. Also, I seem to get only one channel audio, even though I set the unit to CH1, CH2. Thanks!

    Help!! I just upgraded from a Sony HXR-NX30 to the Sony AX53. I had wanted to use my Sony XLR-K1M XLR Adapter Kit with Microphone but I now realize they are not compatible. Is there any way around this without having to purchase the Sony XLR-K2M XLR adapter kit?

    What video editing software are you using that you have to manually synchronize the audio? As far as I know all pro video editing software can automatically synchronize the audiotrack.

    • @Zack_Darce
      @Zack_Darce 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ke4uyp agreed.. doesn't take that long to sync. just select the tracks in premiere and press sync.. you can even edit the clip smaller and try syncing a very small portion if the file is very large and once those two parts are synced you can move the synced portion over to the rest of the file and adjust the rest of the file accordingly so they sync perfectly.. Hope that makes sense for those who don't know

    Hello! Great video. Just a quick question, you say in the end that it records the audio internally. Does it compress the audio in order to do this, or does it retain the quality of the audio similar to what an external zoom H6 recorder would do? Thanks!

    I have to same Sony XLR-K2M and a Sony a7s2. When I hook up to xls mics I can only get one of them to work. which is in channel 1. Is there a specific way to get sound from both channels. I am looking to have 2 mics set up for a podcast while using my Sony a7s2.
    Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hi! If I record with 2 mics is it possible to get 2 separate audio tracks? In the sense that you have a track of mic(input) 1 and a track of the sound of mic(input) 2?

    • @iamtimmy16
      @iamtimmy16 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can..mic 1 will record in left channel and mic 2 will record in right channel
