From the early '80s until now, Simpleminds have been around in my life, sometimes on top,sometimes in the background, never gone, this masterpiece brings them back on top, thank you Jim and band, a fan in the background..............enjoying!

NEW SONG - NEW PHASE - BLINDFOLDED
This current 'Celebrate Tour’, that started in Feb 2013 in Dublin, Ireland, will rather abruptly come to an end in a few days time. On Friday 12th of September to be precise. An audience in Durham, UK, will witness the last chords ring out on a remarkable tour that consisted of 119 gigs, in 23 different countries, and featured 70 different songs throughout the various nightly setlists that were played the world over.
Undoubtedly the passing of this last gig and tour, will also mark the passing of yet another entire phase in our bands history. But as always with Simple Minds, as one era comes to a close, a new one is already in motion, as anyone who has heard or seen the clip for the new song ‘Blindfolded’, will more than verify.

To recap first. Within this last 18 month phase of touring we also released a Greatest Hits package complete with added new songs, as well as releasing a live concert film, shot at the Hydro in Glasgow.
And as if all of that was not enough, we rather excitingly managed to record our 17th studio album, recently completed in London. Full details of release etc, to come.
And so where do we go from here? Well, with no thoughts of stopping whatsoever, we have already started thinking about writing/recording schedules for the next studio album - our 18th. While simultaneously getting set to announce a whole new phase of live touring, one that will take us way into the future.
And so it is with great thanks that we recognise the plentiful magic moments that occurred while performing for all who came to see us during this tour. It’s been wonderful. But I reckon it could get a whole lot more wonderful still.

I've just seen the Tour in Margate, quite frankly it was the one of the best gigs I've ever seen, and I've seen Springsteen, U2, Coldplay and much more. Great Music, super atmosphere. Big Music is a wonderful album of new material, but this is a great band, one of the greatest!

I love Simple Minds, and I'll love them forever.
This is another great, amazing, awesome song in his career. So different from the last songs, so powerful and obscure, full of energy, guitars full of effects, solid drumline, bassline in tipical late 80s mood, great synthpop electronics. I can not find anything wrong in this track.
I listen to it now for the 4th time..... and every time the track improves to me.
This track is a must-play in my next djsets, I can't wait the moment to dance to it.

This song gets better every time I hear it! Fantastic rolling beat and sound, this is the closest they've come to matching their early 80s golden period!

this album is a big piece of magnifence music, simple minds at their best, of course it reminds me my 20 in 80's. My 20 was new wave, we are the sons of Roxy and David and Simples Mind are our brothers!!! 80's was beautiful with this music, girls and boys wanted a beautiful world with européen music as beautiful as a Grec Temple!!!!! Free and a certain idéa of a world....i cry a little inside my soul.

Fantastic song, back to the great material that they did in 80s 90s.
Being a fan for years, I gave up on the minds after "Good news ", but it seems that since I saw them live last year and this track, they're back. This track rocks. This is what they should be doing. Well done boys.

This is amazing new track . for me it borrows significantly from Save My Soul by the Whip, Not Over Yet by Grace, and has the hallmark darkness of a classic Bryan Ferry lyric and melody line 'somewhere out there...' Classic.
