Depeche Mode, has made another great masterpiece as no other band can, most of the crap nowadays is irrelevant, useless, has no creativity or meaning, but their music actually touches the inner soul of people who listen with an open mind. If we all keep chasing this old hatred, we're never going to move forward much further ahead in future "because life will no longer exist", then we'll all be going backwards, and nowhere good:)
I agree completely although they are sounding VERY much like Nine Inch Nails both lyricly and in sound. Anyone who is a fan of this song should maybe try listening to Nine inch Nails " The background world" and " sum zero ". I have grown up listening to both of these Amazingly Brilliant bands, and I am so relieved that between the two there are hours and hours and hours of creative beauty. As well as music that has meaning.

First heard New Life at a house party in September of grade 10, 1984. I had to ask the hostess what was playing with her responding " It's Depeche Mode silly, don't you know!?" I've known ever since. Saw them on the Violator tour in Calgary, Alberta with Nitzer Ebb supporting. Pivotal. This track mirrors what's happening today.
As an ancient fan, who tuned out to DM about 15 years ago, this was a welcome and pleasant surprise. The chorus in this fan remix is better than anything their appointed producers have come up with in a long, long time. Excellent. Thank you for sharing.

One of the most ingenious of the synth rock bands that were so prevalent in the 1980-90's. DP really hit the scene on the head with it's intricate rhythms and lyrical genius, perfect blends of vocalizations and righteous instrument segues with that always haunting electric piano and drum kicks. Powerful shit that drew you in and would not let go. The minute you here that one particular beat of opening sound you know who it is immediately, like you would with U2 perhaps? You didn't have to be all black Goth and gloomy to appreciate their genius and talent, we all got the groove and the inner head and heart feelings that these cats were putting out. ...and the dancing was quite interesting too, lol. Try VNV Nation, you'll be amazed by what they do. Yes, they came after DM, but they have their own poweful sound. Try it, won't regret.

Depeche Mode is such a great band and so underrestimated amongst rock bands. What started as an electric pop band really evolved in one of the great rock bands of the last decades. And my God yes what a singular and great voice.

First heard New Life at a house party in September of grade 10, 1984. I had to ask the hostess what was playing with her responding " It's Depeche Mode silly, don't you know!?" I've known ever since. Saw them on the Violator tour in Calgary, Alberta with Nitzer Ebb supporting. Pivotal. This track mirrors what's happening today.

V dnešní době plné plagiátů a pseudoumělců, jejichž tvorba nestojí ani za odplivnutí mi "Going Backwards" zní jak rajská hudba a nemůžu se nabažit poslechu, kvůli tomuto albu si asi znova pořídím kvalitní aparaturu, ať si tu bombu můžu pořádně vychutnat.. Haunting, mesmerising and still the best live band the world has ever seen x
One of the most ingenious of the synth rock bands that were so prevalent in the 1980-90's. DP really hit the scene on the head with it's intricate rhythms and lyrical genius, perfect blends of vocalizations and righteous instrument segues with that always haunting electric piano and drum kicks. Powerful shit that drew you in and would not let go. The minute you here that one particular beat of opening sound you know who it is immediately, like you would with U2 perhaps? You didn't have to be all black Goth and gloomy to appreciate their genius and talent, we all got the groove and the inner head and heart feelings that these cats were putting out. ...and the dancing was quite interesting too, lol.
