    In my experience, meditating daily has improved concentration, memory , general cognitive functions and infused a more positive state of mind. So meditate regularly and your ability to be present will improve greatly. It’s a fact.

      Hi 0xLeus . I’ve been practicing What’s known as Shamatha (calm abiding) meditation. A form of single pointed meditation, where one sits and is mindful of one’s breathing. I received instructions from a experienced meditator at a Buddhist Centre.

    I was a tech-savvy and seldom shown interest in the spiritual life. Ten years ago, I started practicing an intense meditation program. In the beginning, I couldn't see any results but, soon after I was able to closely observe the results and since then my life dramatically changed.

      As many people have requested me to share my experiences and the benefits of practicing meditation I hereby post the list of transformation that I encountered in my life. Please note that these benefits which I earned were just after a few months but was very committed and sincere while doing the meditation.
      1) Lifestyle - Improved focus, concentration, memory and clarity and vision in whatever I did. My intelligence and creativity exploded and I fetched results easily.
      2) I was joyful for no reason and relationship quotient with everyone dramatically improved. Eg - Arguments transformed into settlements with my family members or instantly seized. This shook me for a moment.
      3) Wealth accumulated from all dimensions.
      4) I noticed things started to fall in place for me in most of the activities I engaged in my life.
      5) My Immune system improved and physical vitality leveraged. I hardly reached doctors for any medical attention.
      6) If I had any herculean task to complete, I always had someone voluntarily coming to my help most of the time.

      First one is Shambhavi Maha Mudra - an ancient potent practice which takes few minutes to complete during Sunrise and Sunset. Another one is witnessing with uttermost consciousness in whatever I did. If I had nothing to do I simply witnessed thoughts and breathing alternatively. It took a few weeks to master to it but if you're determined. Believe me it will do wonders in your life.

    Interesting point but I am not sure if I agree that it is essential to organize and align your day before you begin to meditate. That will leave some people completely empty handed because the reason many desire to turn to the practice of meditation is in order to organize and align their day! I believe and have witnessed through experience that the practice of meditation in the morning (or some other time in the day, if not possible in the morning) for even 15 minutes allows me to maintain a focus throughout the rest of the day. Obviously, sitting in meditation one time will not change your life but if you make it a consistent practice to sit in meditation every morning for at least 15 minutes your days and your life will begin to magically change. I do not disagree with the point made in this video but I think that it can go either way depending on the person. In my experience, meditation was the practice that came first and gave me the confidence to allow me to transform my life.

    Dandapani, Thanks for your videos, it has helped me a lot. I want to request you to make a video stating importance of prayers! In one video you said, counting beads are affirmations and not just taking names of gods! Please throw light on importance and effects of prayers. According to me it is not is for helping yourself and not just for serving any god. I have observed people in my country India misunderstanding concept of prayer, many pray out of fear of god and /or being supersitious

    Meditation is praying to God. What is praying? It's your conversation with God. And who is God - it's the ultimate energy because of which the entire universe is created and still working.The God the energy is named differently by different people. I am a true Catholic Christian and so i pray or i would say I converse with God or say I meditate. For me chanting "our father in heaven" is the meditation.

    Thanks for the information.
    I am doing Meditation for the last two months within the last two months I have just missed two days of meditation.
    Currently, I am doing it over 40 days in a row.
    Still, I can't concentrate like I used to do in the past 2-3 years back.
    Why is this happening?

      Hassan Meraj probably you meditate with a question in your mind "will I be able to meditate the same way I did years before?"... Overthinking could be a problem... You know it better.. I'm just guessing... Coz I faced the same.. I started taking it easily and without any expectations as expectations distracts a lot

    In watching your videos and observing you, I sense a sadness, like an inner depression. (struggling with unpleasant and depressing thoughts) I feel that you keep yourself distracted, busy, and convince yourself otherwise. You have been bottled up and taught to lean on your own spine and to never rely on others and because of that i can picture you never discussing with anyone about it. You did with your guru but now who? I know you can focus on good energy to subside this sadness but it will keep resurfacing .....
    I also feel that you were made for more, and i sense you really don't know your full purpose. (you know this and your ignoring it)
    I hope you find it, I wish you the best in your journey. Don't forget to keep on learning and growing.

    Danpani i have a question. what do you think about listening to audiobooks while doing simple task like washing dishes, organizing , cleaning, shopping ETC? is that impacting my focus negatively ?
