I read 500 Nations years ago and it’s stuck with me! I liked how it went back in time and covered so much. It was a very sad read.

I'm glad you enjoyed Passenger to Frankfurt. It regularly appears on Agatha Christie "worst reads" lists. I haven't read it yet. I've read about half of her work. Well done on RWYO. I'm on book 5 now and feeling like I may crack soon. Love War Horse, one of my favourites and Little Foxes sounds great too.

Well done, that’s great going. Passenger to Frankfurt isn’t the best of Christie’s but I did quite enjoy it. Michael Morpurgo is such a brilliant children’s author 😊

You've had a great reading week Debs. I like the sound of a couple of those - will make a note for when I've finished my Read What You Own Challenge!

That’s the problem with watching other people’s videos, I always find loads I want to read but don’t have 😂😂

You're making excellent progress, Debs, on reading what you own. I never knew that Agatha Christie wrote spy fiction. Interesting. As always, you've had an incredible week.

I had a great week thanks Pat. I didn’t know Ms Christie wrote spy fiction either. Not as good as her crime novels, I don’t think, but I did enjoy it 😊

There's a couple of books on here you're tempting me with but I'm resisting as I'm doing the 'read your own challenge' It's too early to fail!

Definitely too early to fail. Last year I wrote a big list of other people’s recommendations during RWYO so I remembered for when I was allowed to buy books again 😊

I’m reading The Ottomans that you spoke about last week or maybe longer ago. I’ve always been interested in what goes on in the Middle East. I’m also interested in what causes people to hate that you’ve also mentioned. That’s probably why I like Dostoevsky so much. The subject of evil definitely encompasses hate. Cormac McCarthy also writes about evil. I’m sure I will read the Elizabeth Smart book soon. Thanks for your videos. They are super.

Thank you so much. I still haven’t started that Ottomans book yet. I’m also interested in finding out more about the Middle East, I definitely don’t know enough about it

While you were talking about _500 Nations_ all I could think about was the recent Māori haka protest in New Zealand parliament that’s gone viral. This European - or White - mindset really has to go, but I don’t know if people can give it up. That’s a good part of why we have Trump, and just today Nazis marching in Ohio.

I have seen that protest. Yes that mindset really does have to go. We’ve got to stop enforcing our views on people and coveting their resources

Well, I stuck the arms back on with a hot glue gun. They don’t bend but they do stay on my face 😂
