Theres a song that my family would sing in family worship called “be still and know that I am God” there’s like three verses (I can teach yall one day if you want 😀) . But I really appreciate this topic specifically because it prompted to read Mark 4 again. The past few months have felt like an emotional roller coaster of anxiety, calm and sadness with so much negative world news. Calm-knowing I have hope because Jesus is coming soon. Anxiety- not knowing exactly how or when to adjust future plans according to Gods will. Sadness- not knowing if people I care about will be saved. The anxiety I feel/felt is similar to the disciples asking Jesus “do you not care if we perish?”. But his response in verse 40 puts into perspective that I should fight to not be fearful by strengthening my faith. Especially considering that unlike the disciples, I have access about what to expect (Revelation etc.) and can trust that the chaos on earth (which is getting more ghetto by the minute🥴) is moving closer to an expiration date and can be swapped for heaven. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much!!! 🙂 and that was super insightful! Really glad this is helping to just keep getting closer to God and not allow fear or discouragement to get in the way. It’s necessary to acknowledge the emotions we’re feeling but we can’t allow them to separate or distance us from God! God will keep pursuing us though, we can rely on Him to do that.
