The jump pack is a "set to" that applies after additive/multiplicative modifiers to the base stat. Effects like Maru Skara do not make jump pack units jump faster.

Great channel. New sub here. Been collecting heresy miniatures since they were first released but never played and just looking at building a list for the first time
The move on the phoenix guard and palatine blades is to give them all sonic lance and give their adjoining IC sonic shriekers, since the shrieker effects the whole enemy unit, you only need one and sonic lance works when you can stack those templates. Phoneix guard also have no ranged weapon for overwatch, so if you're not doing the perfect counter with them you can fish for pins on your opponent and then charge them in your following turn.
Damn I'm trying to come up with reasons not to start a loyalist Istvaan 3 army....and then this bullshit drops!! Keep up the good work lads, my favorite warhams podcast.

One question comes to mind with the Maru Skara: it says that "the controlling player may choose to have *all* units assigned to a Flanking Attack..." It doesn't say *any* So the way I read it every Flanking unit brought in this way has to be brought in at the same time. Am I right?

Depends on your interpretation of set to. Jump packs set your move characteristic at X, Mary Skara increases that characteristic by +1. 12+1=13 :)
