.252 is the subnet mask, there will be 62 host addresses (64 total actually because it''s 64 - 2), and 2 subnets (4 total actually because again it's 4 - 2).

thank you sir for your valuable tutorial, i have question here instead of saying "" how to find the number of hosts in each network?"" the third question, isn't it better to say "" how to find the valid hosts in each network?"" and exclude the network id and broadcast id while they are not include. suppose here the valid host is 2 after subtracted the network id and broadcast id. otherwise it will become to include the two network and broadcast id and total will be 4 and that will become total number of ip's instead of valid hosts? sorry for my long explanation my aim is to understand more if im wrong. thanks
Dear Omar, the ip address and host is different. Network I'd, broadcast I'd and host all have ip address. Host are the addressee that you can use in users PC. i think subnet 6 in the table there's an error coz network ID is 192.168.10.80 and first host ip will be 192.168.10.81 - 192.168.10.94 and broadcast ID will be 192.168.10.95 so i could be wrong but check with me with that and i'm appreciated your very helpful presentation thank you.

Good. But the host is not 4. You will get total 4 IP Address on each network. The formula of host is 2^n - 2 (We subtract 2 because on every network the first IP address is network ID and the last IP Address Broadcast ID.) Thanks...🙂

and when we have values between 1 and 16 how can we calculate? let's say we have a /16, or something else between 1 and 24, or another type of ip from the another class... ??

To find number of network why u r using 4 borrowed bits.if u don't have situation of borrowing how to calculate
