I am so glad I didn’t have The Void spoiled! I was not expecting what we got! This was so much fun! I’ve already maxed out Raphael and I’m getting used to Usagi and leveling him up now. Side note: You may want to be in a Party/Multi-Player when you get to The Void…
Dude, I didn't mention in my review because it wasn't on the notes, so I am not sure if its a bug or a feature, but you can now fill your special bar only once with the taunt button. Let's hope they keep that way.
I will dive in when I get the time, juggling other games right now... but I am still amused at the cameos they place in the different dimensions. Especially how the dark future has the various (lesser liked) sidekicks in their own team in the background :) Also, the Neutrino's are back again! Always had a soft spot for those weird sci-fi greasers.
Yeah, I see where you coming from, but in the case of the Turtles the isn't much they can do... I mean, the source material never had too much variety to start with.
@@beatemup Yes, but it's strange for Karai to fight alongside the Ninja Turtle, She should be a boss. I think this problem is very common now. Many games like to add playable characters, but in fact, as long as villains are popular, they will also join.
I gotta say I really disagree with this review. I think if you’re a fan of really trying to git gud survival is fun, but it’s not great. The lack of permanent perks means there aren’t any build abilities, the crystal system is weird, and they could’ve let any boss be playable considering they didn’t add any moves or new frames. The base game had 7 characters, story, arcade, 3 difficulties, and goals/achievements/whatever for $25. This is 2 characters and an average survival for 1/3 of that cost. I’m not upset that I got it, but in no way would I recommend it to everyone that has the game
Hey Clyde. Yeah, that's the thing with reviews, it is a matter of personal taste. I really enjoyed the DLC. I think the challenge is fun and it is a very good change of pace from the main game. There are permanent perks, like extra lives, health points, and extra moves, but I guess you were saying something in the line of SoR4 with the new moves. But I agree with you about the bosses, they could have added more since they are so simple. Cheers, mate!
In my opinion, unless you’re a big fan, why pay $10 for a dlc when Double Dragon Gaiden has released a more in-depth game with all content unlocked through gameplay, no pay to play garbage. I enjoyed Shredders Revenge but it already cost $70 for a retro throwback, they’re not getting another $10 for survival mode and two characters when they should’ve been in the release, that $10 went towards a new game with hours of gameplay. If you like Shredders Revenge, try Double Dragon Gaiden and you’ll find a similar game with more content and a bigger special moves list for less money. I already enjoy Shredders Revenge as it is and have more games to try out so this dlc is on the back burner for me.
This is exactly the mode I was hoping for even before this game released. Sor4 Mr X nightmare is my all time favorite beat ‘em up, on its own.
Mr X Nightmare was extremely fun and addictive dlc.
Cannot wait to play this on the 31st
So close!!!!
I guess the survival mode looks a bit like what we saw in SoR 4. Interesting for sure!
It has some bits that makes it more interesting, imo.
Wow, cool comparison bro, I did not think of it the slightest myself, besides you cannot random switch your charas mid game, that's why!
💥🚀 350 days No Alcohol 🏆🐫
Congrats, man!!!!
Good job brother. ✨👑
Keep up the good work 👍
Which turtle you like playing as most?🐢🐢🐢🐢
I usually play with April, but from now on Usagi will be my main. The dude is pretty awesome!
@@beatemup I love playing as Donnie. Reach, power and he has a Gameboy when charging his spl atk.🐢
Something I haven't seen is stage hazards. Is that not a thing in this mode?
There are a few on some levels, but honestly, they are very far between.
I love it, but it's not out on EU ps store just yet...😒
One hour to go, if I am not mistaken!

looks fantastic. great review
Thnaks, man!!
I just hope the DLC mode isn't like the main game, where you can just spam/charge special every screen.

@@beatemupI heard about that- they changed it because of how it unbalanced the game, so it is deliberate.
@@goranisacson2502 Great!! I am really glad they put an end on the special spam fest!
Makes sense Karai is OP in this considering how busted she is in Tournament Fighter.
Super fun and addicting game mode. I'm always trying to beat my round 13 record and unlock all the character skins/level them up
Lets go!
Does dlc have new achievements?
Dude, I can't say. Most of the time the achievements drop after the official release. So far, my review version does not have any.

I wish they add the Neutrinos in the future.
Is this a free update or something?
It is paid. Around 7 bucks!
Only worth it for the characters in my opinion.
The Survival Mode sucked ass.
Those humble stat stars (for Karai&Usagi ) ARE LIES! 😅😅
I was hoping for new campaign with new levels. I was disappointed with reveal trailer and still disappointed though.
Can't say I disagree with you, but the survival is very fun.
Pizza Time 🍕
I don't understand why modern games have added so many playable characters, but the enemy's design is very monotonous.

@@beatemup lol nope, welcome to Canada, pay more for everything, $10 dlc here.
