So today I was trying to be clever with Thaurissan on normal difficulty, so I used a control priest deck, so that I'd be able to heal Moira if needed. After a few tries, it just wasn't working, I was overrun too quickly and couldn't use AoE. So I put together a face hunter deck and beat the boss first try. I didn't attack a single minion the whole game. Now I've turned to the dark side.
Guy Random Logged in today, got two quests today: "Rogue or Warrior Dominance" and "Rogue or Druid Dominance." So basically the game really wants me to play rogue, a class that's super slow, combo reliant and trades health for impact with its hero ability...when 90% of players, if not more, are playing face hunter. Awesome.

I'd put Thaurissan on 1. Grim Patron isn't OP,just strong on Patron Warrior and it requires you to build your whole deck around it,while Thaurissan is automatically put on any combo deck and,most of the time,you only need one trigger to get lethal.

I agree Emperor Thaurissan is awesome. I added it to my druid deck so far everytime it hit the board I won. Yes, I already did the combo on turn 7 as well. Such a fun card in this deck which is the reason I'm tired at work today lol.

I dont know Kripp. I think you are overvaluing the skulker. The fan can be prep'd for zero, it draws you a card and can be buffed with spell damage, but most importantly: it damages ALL minions, not just undamaged ones. 5 mana for a fan that doesn't draw, can't be buffed with spell damage and doesn't hit damaged stuff sounds terrible to me. The card should've costed 3 or 4 mana, but I think it's destined to this, just like kidnapper.
Jeix Herald of Taon fact is, you're talking about FoK as if all the utilities just coming by itself. You have to use at least another card on your HAND that you DREW, which makes it essentially a 2 cards combo, while Shulker is a single minion that both serve as a body as well as perform an AoE backstab. considering Spider Tank is a 3-4 3 mana, you can treat Shulker as a 4-3 3 mana which is still good but slightly worse interms of survivability, the fact that you can do an AoE backstab for just mere 2 mana is amazing in Value. All you get is in that one card alone, no need for extra draw to ruin the tempo, L2P.
Let's just only talk about the weaknesses or only talk about the strengths about the cards we're discussing to really show how wrong the internet folk around us really are about their speculations.
I think Gang Up may be underrated. Made a deck around the card and its pretty fantastic. Having 5 healbots plus 3 of your opponents best creature is nice. It's also nice to be able to endlessly cycle without worrying about decking yourself out. I think it will stand the test of time and should be in the top 5 here.

My thoughts on some of the BRM cards: -Dragonkin Sorcerer: 4/3/5 is decent, in decks that can buff like pally, priest and druid this card is really solid. -Blackwing Corruptor: obviously only for a dragon deck, even then it has two flaws wich is it's 4hp and that you need to hold a dragon. 3 damage is really strong though -Volcanic Drake: 6/6/4 on paper but effectively almost always a 5/6/4 or 4/6/4. I would play it in any deck. Love that card. - Chromaggus: 8/6/8 is ok, he is out of range of BGH and has a fun effect. Not sure if useable for ladder decks but deffinately for gimmik decks. -Druid of the Flame: 3/2/5 is pretty sticky for a turn 3 minion... the 5/2 option wont be used I guess -Quick Shot: 3 damage for 2 mana, pretty nice... add a carddraw wich synergyses with the need for draw in a rush deck. are you kidding me, that's borderline OP -Demonwrath: so warlock got a cheaper consecrate, that's nice... I guess a demon deck might be good again. Resurrect: I find it funny how priest gets a lot of 'random' cards. Like mindgames, where you don't know what you will spawn... like thoughtsteal, where you don't know what you will get and now resurrect, where you don't know if what you will spawn. However in contrast to mindgames, it is a lot better. It is cheaper and you know (give or take) what you can get. Rush decks might screw you over though. - Fireguard Destroyer: 4/4/6 is sticky and strong. potentially being 5/6 to remove pesky 5 hp minions, yes please! potentially being 6/6 or 7/6 (although 7/6 might not be that great) on turn 4... the pressure is on him, that's for sure. Oh and did you realise that you can do the same the next turn? -Dragon Consort: Best card released imho. 5/5/5 is nice since you can get rid of those sticky 5hp minions, besides it makes other drakes cheaper! imagine the synergy with Volcanic Drake, that would be pretty much free... imagine the synergy with a Dragonkin Sorcerer, turn 5 DC -> turn 6 DS + 4 mana to buff him... imagine the synergy with Chromaggus, turn 5 DC -> turn 6 Chromaggus... oh and not to mention the synergy with dragons like Ysera, Alextrasza and finally a viable way to play Onyxia Dragon Consort is ridiculus. Why aren't you playing dragon pally? seriously stop reading this and make one!
I played with Emperor Thaurissan in every deck after I got him, and I have to say, he blows my mind. I saw what he can do and I am sure he can do much more. One thing I found out is in control vs control, Thaurissan is basically a win condition if you play him first because your big hand can now do more things then your opponents big hand and out tempo him.
How is the Priest dragon a piece of crap? A 2/3 for 1 -- it's basically a Zombie Chow w/o the heal effect, which everyone runs in all aggro and semi-aggro decks. You need to hold a dragon, well put it in a dragon deck. Probably half the time you'll be able to play it on turn 1. The other half you'll play it later on, and it's still good, just as Zombie Chow is in mid-game. I think it's actually one of the best cards in the expansion
zombie chow's downside hits less hard than the whelp's downside, simple as that I think. (the whelp's downside being it being a 2/1 about 10-20% of the time on turn 1 if you get unlucky with your draw) I'll also throw Earth Shock in there, it matters.
except twilight whelp can totally mess up your curve. Say you're playing against face hunter and you start off with twilight whelp and 2 big dragons, say Ysera or malygos. You obviously don't want those big cards against hunter, but do you risk mulliganing them, not getting a dragon, and then playing a crap one drop? If you play it later on it's not worth it. The card hasn't been released yet so we don't know, but honestly it seems worse than zombie chow.
Zombie Chow is great at establishing board control early game, And in the late game with an Auchenai Soulpriest, he suddenly becomes 5 damage to the opponent's face. Chow, Auchenai, Circle of Healing, Hero Power. 4 damage to all minions, leaving Auchenai at 1 life. 7 damage to face, or 5 to face and 2 to finish off a huge minion.
We love huntards. Face hunter is perhaps the most annoying OP thing ever BUT I still like it for 2 reasons. One: It is a fast deck. Climbing ranks is a slow process that requires many games. If you have a slow or mid range decks those games are going to take a LONG time. That is a lot of playing. Second: Face Hunter is great if played to perfection. For a low amount of dust you can get a very good rank if you are good enough. I prefer this free to play style over a very expensive control based deck.
Wow. Quickshot is objectively just a better Darkbomb. And it's going to make aggro hunter even better too. Dump your hand, deal 3 damage for 2 and you get to draw a card on top. Thanks Blizz.
Emperor Thasurissan is definitely one of, if not the best card from this expansion. From my time playing him in most of the control decks, I won more then half of the games if he got his effect off more then once, especially when I had 5+ cards in hand. He is definitely gonna be an auto-include in most combo and control decks and if not dealt with immediately, his effect will just out-write win the game sometimes.
Its fun to look back at Kripps Nax video. He says webspinner was trash, everyone will run two kudos, and wailing souls was his favorite card of that set. :)
I already have my dragon deck, my one thing is that there are no one cost dragons. which can really affect the deck and the otehr cards that aggro off of dragons in hand
If you combine a Dark Iron Skulker with a Grim Patron will your side of the board get full of Grim Patrons or will only hit the Grim Patron and then you will only get one Patron?
So far my favourite usage of Dragon Consort is using it when I have a Chronomaggus in hand, suddenly my turn 6 as a Paladin gets a little silly, especially if I follow up as I have done with Sapphire Drake, coin, Twilight Drake. Dragon paladin can pull of some insane things.
So its been a while since I played hearthstone. Well the last time i play was october of 2014. I just got back, and was wondering what to do. should I buy new packs, and look at online skill builds, or just stick to the decks i have and see what I can craft. Kripp, I think you're over reacting on Quickshot. The comparison with Dark Bomb isn't fair, because everyone knows that Warlocks get cards with less value because of Hero power. Maybe comparing with Frostbolt would be wiser, which also deals 3dmg for 2 mana, plus an extra effect. It's not so OP to have a card like that That's my 2 nickels !
Gave a test run for Thaurissan in handlock... if you have that deck look no further, Thaurissan is a must. If you meet a slow or midrange deck and you slam thaurissan on curve it's GG.
I could possibly see the paladins using 1 of the big dragons, volcanic drake, the class dragon, and then maybe faerie dragon along with the other standard paladin stuff
As ridiculous as it might seem I have been using the emperor on mech mage. True, half of the time it really does nothing, but the other half ends up discounting antonidas to 6 and all the spare parts to 0 allowing for a very powerful turn 7 antonidas that was simply impossible before. I have to keep trying it out to see if it's really worth it at the end of the day. So far I think it is because even if your hand is empty people will try to kill the emperor as soon as you drop it.
Very good analysis. Thank you for posting! Made me think. I don't see how you can compare the Skulker to Drake+Backstab. The latter has +1 hp, draws a card, and makes Backstab deal 3 damage, not two. A better comparison would be Ironforge Commando, having -1 hp, but, worst case scenario, essentially the same ability, showing just how strong Skulker is. Also, I'm not sure how Volcanic Drake is strong enough to play around. Playing around Flamestrike and Holy Nova is good because those cards can remove your board presence and ability to reform it immediately. Volcanic Drake can only take out one card at a time, while my 2 or 3 minions smack his face. Even Force Tank Max isn't normally that scary, for the same reasons. Good card? Yes, just not badly enough to play around.
Really surprised Cromaggus wasn't mentioned at all, not even in honorable mentions. I understand it's a very slow card, but so is kel'thuzad, and Cro is very very solid when behind. It doesn't need a board, and unlike Kel'Thuzad, demands a decent amount of attention. It's not a broken card, but I think it deserved to be mentioned.
I'm gonna make a Ragnaros gimmick deck that will be full of fire spells, dark iron dwarves, and ice block and barrier so when I become Ragnaros I won't die immediately
Pulled off Thaurissan on freeze mage for 3 mana Fireballs, 1 mana Frostbolts and 0 mana Ice Lances. Top decked Thalnos at turn 9, coined him out and bursted for 32 damage
Volcanic drake can win a lot of games in arena, and as a common neutral minion it has to be considered viable and likely to show up in every arena deck. In constructed, it's not strong enough to really play around. Also, the way you would play around it, by trying to exchange minions on your turn instead of the opponent's turn, is the way that you should generally be trying to manage the board anyway. Even without volcanic drake and all the other cards with the same mechanic, it's generally a bad idea to leave your opponent with a bunch of creatures of you can avoid it, because even weak creatures can be buffed into threats.
I think warlock will make a great dragon class because of the consistency it can get out of twilight drake. It's a great dragon card that other classes can struggle to use
Started playing Hunter again today after remaining abstinent for months... however, I'm not playing aggro. Actually, I'm not even playing midrange. I tried to build a Control Hunter using Quick Shot and Feign Death, but it's turned out to be more of a tempo deck - what with 18 cards in its 2-mana slot. And I've managed to win all my games against face Hunter as well as a few against Priest, Warrior, and Mage. While I hate that Quick Shot is making Face Hunter more popular again, I do like how it's allowed me to construct a viable Hunter deck which doesn't leave me asking "Why aren't I playing face Hunter?" or "Why aren't I just playing a class more suited to this playstyle?" Seriously, this is the first time in anything close to resembling recent memory that I've actually _had fun_ playing a Hunter deck. O_o
brm has already been realised here in europe, all challenges were fun, but the mage class challenge is insane, its like loatheb-hunter but with unstable portals if you have any wuestions about the bosses ask me

Oh how the mighty Kripp has fallen. Reynad's calls were pretty spot on. Fel Reaver being used a lot in constructed, summoning portal in almost every mage deck, Tinkertown being super strong in every mech deck.
4mped Play Fel Reaver, opponent BGHs it, play Dr. Boom, opponent cries. You can only have 2 BGHs in constructed, Kripp, and even then most only play one...

Hungry dragon is basically a yeti that has been buffed by an imaginary card that says "give a friendly minion +1/+1 and summon a 1-cost minion for your opponent." Thinking about it that way makes it seem less appealing. For your 1/1 gain in networth the opponent gets a 1-drop, of which pretty much all have better stats than 1/1. Yes it's a bigger body that can take out say a sludge belcher, but the opponent still gains a 1-drop that they can trade in to finish the hungry dragon off most of the time.
Dark bomb was good because it was a card that warlock specifically needed. Assassinate seems overpowered when you compare it to recycle, but it's not overpowered because it doesn't really fit into most rogue decks. Quick shot would be crazy in warlock, but in hunter it's not as bad because hunters already have damage dealing cards that work better on curve, and currently lack card draw. You have to take the class archetypes into consideration when evaluating these cards. Just my two cents.
I just had a perfect druid draft. I got perfect amount of removal and high quality minions. First match was against a rogue called Rohlan. He was afk 4 the first 2 turns and I had solid board control. He was struggling to stay alive but at the 8th turn he saps my ironbark, plays the 2\2 that has summon 2\1 combo and then he uses vanish and plays his cards again. Then he casts cold blood and I am suddantly at 5hp and I have nothing on the board and all this happened in a 1 turn.
Who else thinks that shaman will end up playing dragon because they have ancestors call, buffs for the dragon that gets +1/+1 for each spell played on it (like rockbiter, windfury, ancestral spirit), can make multiple of the op stat dragons like hungry dragon without the drawback with reincarnate or ancestral spirit, have totems to die for volcanic drake, have enough spells to get value out of malygos and could pull off insane combos with emperor thaurissan and malygos
Why is quick shot the same with or without the draw a card efect? beceuse if you dont kill him with the last card the thing you draw doesent matter you will die next turn... So its just deal 3 dmg...
Kripp aölways says that a card sucks because it can be BGH-ed. But most decs run only one BGH. So when the opponent has used it you can play whatever you want. So something having 7+ mana isn't always bad as he is constantly saying. You just need to have multiple cards that can be BGH-ed. For example, in opponent uses BGH on a fireguard destroyer, the card isn't bad because it was killed. It is good because ate the BGH and now you can play 7attack creatures without the fear them dying instantly.
can i out emperor thaurissan in control priest? i realy like control priest, have good board clear and can draw cards easy. If exist other class that will be better than priest for this card say to me. Druid can be good but i think is too slow .
waran gamer I'm using him right now in my burst Priest deck. Play Thaurissan at some point, then later on win the game with Prophet Velen, Mind Blast, Mind Blast. Works pretty well. I may even try to get this deck to legend.
Think he makes any card previously "alright" now completely playable. I.e. Mind Control, who doesn't want that cheaper? And also Holy Fire might see some play now, 5 dam/ restore five health for five is crazy, and it's a perfect Emperor response.

Actually, I am wrong. Ironically, I forgot that we are talking about a Priest deck here. Auchenai Soulpriest was not considered in my "drawback" assessment of Zombie Chow. Admittedly though, this is why I love CCG's. I'm more a Magic veteran, but Hearthstone was different enough on a mechanical level that it attracted my attention. The games are similar yet different enough where if you switch between the two it can sometimes screw with your ability to play both of them, lol. Still play Magic quite a bit actually. Anyway, disregard or make fun of my last comment. It deserves either one, lol.
I doubt Kripp will ever see this. I do absolutely agree that EmpT is probably one of the best cards in the game right now. I have to disagree however about Quickshot being overpowered. Hunter's constantly have their ability to draw crippled due to people complaining about it all of the time. For example, Flare, and it's mana being increased, and The vulture, becoming nearly useless. For 2 mana, a mage, can cast frostbolt, which does 3 damage, and freezes the minion/player. This is 2 mana, 3 damage, and an additional effect. That is equal in value to quickshot. Quickshot, only allows you to draw a card IF your hand is empty when you play it. A mages frostbolt ALWAYS freezes its target. If you still think that quickshot is overpowered, then lets say that frostbolt is overpowered as well.
The Kripp did not ask me how it was going. Every day I watch videos, the Kripp asks me how day was. I pause video and tell him all my problems. He is comfort. But now he says not. Who is this man? What have you done with my the Kripp? Now my life is in shambles.
If by "Priest dragon" you are referring to Twilight Whelp, then I completely disagree with you. They key difference between Twilight Whelp and Blackwing Technician is that Twilight Drake is a Dragon itself. Therefore, if you're playing a seriously dedicated Dragon deck, he is maximizing your chance of holding a Dragon in your hand, whereas Blackwing Technician is not. That basically means that if you have enough Dragons in your deck, he's basically a Zombie Chow with no drawback. I'd at least give the card a chance.

I dont know Kripp. I think you are overvaluing the skulker. The fan can be prep'd for zero, it draws you a card and can be buffed with spell damage, but most importantly: it damages ALL minions, not just undamaged ones. 5 mana for a fan that doesn't draw, can't be buffed with spell damage and doesn't hit damaged stuff sounds terrible to me. The card should've costed 3 or 4 mana, but I think it's destined to this, just like kidnapper.
Jeix Herald of Taon fact is, you're talking about FoK as if all the utilities just coming by itself. You have to use at least another card on your HAND that you DREW, which makes it essentially a 2 cards combo, while Shulker is a single minion that both serve as a body as well as perform an AoE backstab. considering Spider Tank is a 3-4 3 mana, you can treat Shulker as a 4-3 3 mana which is still good but slightly worse interms of survivability, the fact that you can do an AoE backstab for just mere 2 mana is amazing in Value. All you get is in that one card alone, no need for extra draw to ruin the tempo, L2P.

I think Gang Up may be underrated. Made a deck around the card and its pretty fantastic. Having 5 healbots plus 3 of your opponents best creature is nice. It's also nice to be able to endlessly cycle without worrying about decking yourself out. I think it will stand the test of time and should be in the top 5 here.

My thoughts on some of the BRM cards:
-Dragonkin Sorcerer: 4/3/5 is decent, in decks that can buff like pally, priest and druid this card is really solid.
-Blackwing Corruptor: obviously only for a dragon deck, even then it has two flaws wich is it's 4hp and that you need to hold a dragon. 3 damage is really strong though
-Volcanic Drake: 6/6/4 on paper but effectively almost always a 5/6/4 or 4/6/4. I would play it in any deck. Love that card.
- Chromaggus: 8/6/8 is ok, he is out of range of BGH and has a fun effect. Not sure if useable for ladder decks but deffinately for gimmik decks.
-Druid of the Flame: 3/2/5 is pretty sticky for a turn 3 minion... the 5/2 option wont be used I guess
-Quick Shot: 3 damage for 2 mana, pretty nice... add a carddraw wich synergyses with the need for draw in a rush deck. are you kidding me, that's borderline OP
-Demonwrath: so warlock got a cheaper consecrate, that's nice... I guess a demon deck might be good again.
Resurrect: I find it funny how priest gets a lot of 'random' cards. Like mindgames, where you don't know what you will spawn... like thoughtsteal, where you don't know what you will get and now resurrect, where you don't know if what you will spawn. However in contrast to mindgames, it is a lot better. It is cheaper and you know (give or take) what you can get. Rush decks might screw you over though.
- Fireguard Destroyer: 4/4/6 is sticky and strong. potentially being 5/6 to remove pesky 5 hp minions, yes please! potentially being 6/6 or 7/6 (although 7/6 might not be that great) on turn 4... the pressure is on him, that's for sure. Oh and did you realise that you can do the same the next turn?
-Dragon Consort: Best card released imho. 5/5/5 is nice since you can get rid of those sticky 5hp minions, besides it makes other drakes cheaper! imagine the synergy with Volcanic Drake, that would be pretty much free... imagine the synergy with a Dragonkin Sorcerer, turn 5 DC -> turn 6 DS + 4 mana to buff him... imagine the synergy with Chromaggus, turn 5 DC -> turn 6 Chromaggus... oh and not to mention the synergy with dragons like Ysera, Alextrasza and finally a viable way to play Onyxia

I played with Emperor Thaurissan in every deck after I got him, and I have to say, he blows my mind. I saw what he can do and I am sure he can do much more. One thing I found out is in control vs control, Thaurissan is basically a win condition if you play him first because your big hand can now do more things then your opponents big hand and out tempo him.
How is the Priest dragon a piece of crap? A 2/3 for 1 -- it's basically a Zombie Chow w/o the heal effect, which everyone runs in all aggro and semi-aggro decks. You need to hold a dragon, well put it in a dragon deck. Probably half the time you'll be able to play it on turn 1. The other half you'll play it later on, and it's still good, just as Zombie Chow is in mid-game. I think it's actually one of the best cards in the expansion

zombie chow's downside hits less hard than the whelp's downside, simple as that I think. (the whelp's downside being it being a 2/1 about 10-20% of the time on turn 1 if you get unlucky with your draw) I'll also throw Earth Shock in there, it matters.
except twilight whelp can totally mess up your curve. Say you're playing against face hunter and you start off with twilight whelp and 2 big dragons, say Ysera or malygos. You obviously don't want those big cards against hunter, but do you risk mulliganing them, not getting a dragon, and then playing a crap one drop? If you play it later on it's not worth it. The card hasn't been released yet so we don't know, but honestly it seems worse than zombie chow.

And in the late game with an Auchenai Soulpriest, he suddenly becomes 5 damage to the opponent's face.

4 damage to all minions, leaving Auchenai at 1 life.

We love huntards. Face hunter is perhaps the most annoying OP thing ever BUT I still like it for 2 reasons. One: It is a fast deck. Climbing ranks is a slow process that requires many games. If you have a slow or mid range decks those games are going to take a LONG time. That is a lot of playing.
Second: Face Hunter is great if played to perfection. For a low amount of dust you can get a very good rank if you are good enough. I prefer this free to play style over a very expensive control based deck.

Emperor Thasurissan is definitely one of, if not the best card from this expansion. From my time playing him in most of the control decks, I won more then half of the games if he got his effect off more then once, especially when I had 5+ cards in hand. He is definitely gonna be an auto-include in most combo and control decks and if not dealt with immediately, his effect will just out-write win the game sometimes.
Kripparrian I would recommend raising your camera up a bit to get a better shot size. its a bit awkward when there is no headspace

I already have my dragon deck, my one thing is that there are no one cost dragons. which can really affect the deck and the otehr cards that aggro off of dragons in hand

So far my favourite usage of Dragon Consort is using it when I have a Chronomaggus in hand, suddenly my turn 6 as a Paladin gets a little silly, especially if I follow up as I have done with Sapphire Drake, coin, Twilight Drake. Dragon paladin can pull of some insane things.

Kripp, I think you're over reacting on Quickshot. The comparison with Dark Bomb isn't fair, because everyone knows that Warlocks get cards with less value because of Hero power. Maybe comparing with Frostbolt would be wiser, which also deals 3dmg for 2 mana, plus an extra effect. It's not so OP to have a card like that

Gave a test run for Thaurissan in handlock... if you have that deck look no further, Thaurissan is a must. If you meet a slow or midrange deck and you slam thaurissan on curve it's GG.

I could possibly see the paladins using 1 of the big dragons, volcanic drake, the class dragon, and then maybe faerie dragon along with the other standard paladin stuff
As ridiculous as it might seem I have been using the emperor on mech mage. True, half of the time it really does nothing, but the other half ends up discounting antonidas to 6 and all the spare parts to 0 allowing for a very powerful turn 7 antonidas that was simply impossible before. I have to keep trying it out to see if it's really worth it at the end of the day. So far I think it is because even if your hand is empty people will try to kill the emperor as soon as you drop it.

I don't see how you can compare the Skulker to Drake+Backstab. The latter has +1 hp, draws a card, and makes Backstab deal 3 damage, not two. A better comparison would be Ironforge Commando, having -1 hp, but, worst case scenario, essentially the same ability, showing just how strong Skulker is.
Also, I'm not sure how Volcanic Drake is strong enough to play around. Playing around Flamestrike and Holy Nova is good because those cards can remove your board presence and ability to reform it immediately. Volcanic Drake can only take out one card at a time, while my 2 or 3 minions smack his face. Even Force Tank Max isn't normally that scary, for the same reasons. Good card? Yes, just not badly enough to play around.
Also you forgot to mention Dragon Consort's card art is sick.
Really surprised Cromaggus wasn't mentioned at all, not even in honorable mentions. I understand it's a very slow card, but so is kel'thuzad, and Cro is very very solid when behind. It doesn't need a board, and unlike Kel'Thuzad, demands a decent amount of attention.
It's not a broken card, but I think it deserved to be mentioned.
I'm gonna make a Ragnaros gimmick deck that will be full of fire spells, dark iron dwarves, and ice block and barrier so when I become Ragnaros I won't die immediately
Pulled off Thaurissan on freeze mage for 3 mana Fireballs, 1 mana Frostbolts and 0 mana Ice Lances. Top decked Thalnos at turn 9, coined him out and bursted for 32 damage
Volcanic drake can win a lot of games in arena, and as a common neutral minion it has to be considered viable and likely to show up in every arena deck.
In constructed, it's not strong enough to really play around. Also, the way you would play around it, by trying to exchange minions on your turn instead of the opponent's turn, is the way that you should generally be trying to manage the board anyway. Even without volcanic drake and all the other cards with the same mechanic, it's generally a bad idea to leave your opponent with a bunch of creatures of you can avoid it, because even weak creatures can be buffed into threats.
I think warlock will make a great dragon class because of the consistency it can get out of twilight drake. It's a great dragon card that other classes can struggle to use
Started playing Hunter again today after remaining abstinent for months... however, I'm not playing aggro. Actually, I'm not even playing midrange. I tried to build a Control Hunter using Quick Shot and Feign Death, but it's turned out to be more of a tempo deck - what with 18 cards in its 2-mana slot. And I've managed to win all my games against face Hunter as well as a few against Priest, Warrior, and Mage.
While I hate that Quick Shot is making Face Hunter more popular again, I do like how it's allowed me to construct a viable Hunter deck which doesn't leave me asking "Why aren't I playing face Hunter?" or "Why aren't I just playing a class more suited to this playstyle?" Seriously, this is the first time in anything close to resembling recent memory that I've actually _had fun_ playing a Hunter deck. O_o

Oh how the mighty Kripp has fallen. Reynad's calls were pretty spot on. Fel Reaver being used a lot in constructed, summoning portal in almost every mage deck, Tinkertown being super strong in every mech deck.

Warlock, you will have a variant of the handlock deck loaded with dragons and dragon in hand battlecries with a warlock which is super easy.
Hungry dragon is basically a yeti that has been buffed by an imaginary card that says "give a friendly minion +1/+1 and summon a 1-cost minion for your opponent." Thinking about it that way makes it seem less appealing. For your 1/1 gain in networth the opponent gets a 1-drop, of which pretty much all have better stats than 1/1. Yes it's a bigger body that can take out say a sludge belcher, but the opponent still gains a 1-drop that they can trade in to finish the hungry dragon off most of the time.

Dark bomb was good because it was a card that warlock specifically needed. Assassinate seems overpowered when you compare it to recycle, but it's not overpowered because it doesn't really fit into most rogue decks. Quick shot would be crazy in warlock, but in hunter it's not as bad because hunters already have damage dealing cards that work better on curve, and currently lack card draw. You have to take the class archetypes into consideration when evaluating these cards. Just my two cents.
I just had a perfect druid draft. I got perfect amount of removal
and high quality minions. First match was against a rogue called Rohlan. He was afk 4 the first 2 turns and I had solid board control. He was struggling to stay alive but at the 8th turn he saps my ironbark, plays the 2\2 that has summon 2\1 combo and then he uses vanish and plays his cards again. Then he casts cold blood and I am suddantly at 5hp and I have nothing on the board and all this happened in a 1 turn.
Who else thinks that shaman will end up playing dragon because they have ancestors call, buffs for the dragon that gets +1/+1 for each spell played on it (like rockbiter, windfury, ancestral spirit), can make multiple of the op stat dragons like hungry dragon without the drawback with reincarnate or ancestral spirit, have totems to die for volcanic drake, have enough spells to get value out of malygos and could pull off insane combos with emperor thaurissan and malygos

Thaurissan needs the Pagle treatment, the effect should be at the start of the turn, otherwise it is rediculous.
Why is quick shot the same with or without the draw a card efect? beceuse if you dont kill him with the last card the thing you draw doesent matter you will die next turn... So its just deal 3 dmg...
Kripp aölways says that a card sucks because it can be BGH-ed. But most decs run only one BGH. So when the opponent has used it you can play whatever you want. So something having 7+ mana isn't always bad as he is constantly saying. You just need to have multiple cards that can be BGH-ed.
For example, in opponent uses BGH on a fireguard destroyer, the card isn't bad because it was killed. It is good because ate the BGH and now you can play 7attack creatures without the fear them dying instantly.

waran gamer I'm using him right now in my burst Priest deck. Play Thaurissan at some point, then later on win the game with Prophet Velen, Mind Blast, Mind Blast. Works pretty well. I may even try to get this deck to legend.
Think he makes any card previously "alright" now completely playable. I.e. Mind Control, who doesn't want that cheaper? And also Holy Fire might see some play now, 5 dam/ restore five health for five is crazy, and it's a perfect Emperor response.

Ivan Kartashov No, since Dragon Consort is a dragon, it simply uses up the battle cry of the previous, making it a 3 cost dragon instead of a 5 cost.
I think Dragon Consort is a class card cuz blizzard didn't want everyone having a dragon deck so the meta don't get too boring.

Actually, I am wrong. Ironically, I forgot that we are talking about a Priest deck here. Auchenai Soulpriest was not considered in my "drawback" assessment of Zombie Chow. Admittedly though, this is why I love CCG's. I'm more a Magic veteran, but Hearthstone was different enough on a mechanical level that it attracted my attention. The games are similar yet different enough where if you switch between the two it can sometimes screw with your ability to play both of them, lol. Still play Magic quite a bit actually. Anyway, disregard or make fun of my last comment. It deserves either one, lol.

I doubt Kripp will ever see this. I do absolutely agree that EmpT is probably one of the best cards in the game right now. I have to disagree however about Quickshot being overpowered. Hunter's constantly have their ability to draw crippled due to people complaining about it all of the time. For example, Flare, and it's mana being increased, and The vulture, becoming nearly useless. For 2 mana, a mage, can cast frostbolt, which does 3 damage, and freezes the minion/player. This is 2 mana, 3 damage, and an additional effect. That is equal in value to quickshot. Quickshot, only allows you to draw a card IF your hand is empty when you play it. A mages frostbolt ALWAYS freezes its target.
If you still think that quickshot is overpowered, then lets say that frostbolt is overpowered as well.

If by "Priest dragon" you are referring to Twilight Whelp, then I completely disagree with you. They key difference between Twilight Whelp and Blackwing Technician is that Twilight Drake is a Dragon itself. Therefore, if you're playing a seriously dedicated Dragon deck, he is maximizing your chance of holding a Dragon in your hand, whereas Blackwing Technician is not. That basically means that if you have enough Dragons in your deck, he's basically a Zombie Chow with no drawback. I'd at least give the card a chance.
hungry dragon is fun in mage, cause most 1 mana minions have very low toughness so the mage's hero power will deal with that
