I had a Type R EK9 replica my dad and I built from a 2000 Canadian Hatchback model. I also had these seats. There is a way to clean them to look brand new, and mine had some deep black marks all around. Take the seats out of the car, soak it with the 3:1 mixture, like super super soak them, rub the solution in, and then completely hose the seats off, fully soak with water until no more bubbles are coming out. Then you use a steam cleaner or a shop vac that can suck up water and pull as much water out as possible, leave them outside in the sun for a day and overnight to dry and they came out looking like brand new. Even the ripples in the side filled back outa little bit afterwards since the fabric was looser and not as stiff. Took a few hours but well worth it, sold them for more than I paid when I was getting rid of the car!
I’ve got the same JDM mats. I found filling the bath with warm water and a few cap fulls of Woolite, throw the mats in for a few minutes and watch the water turn brown. Then shower off the mats with warm water and leave outside on a summers day. They look like new after.
Just use the vac wet & dry. I use it in my red seats. In the summer I put leather my limited ed extremist seats in during the summer. Easy wipe down. Easier to clean outside the car btw
nice but you should really use a wet and dry vac to grab the moisture out of the seat. The inserts can start to rot through damp and eventually they will start to smell.
@@n9oor-q8 I wouldn't recommend DC5 rails as you have to run a spacer in the rear to get them to fit. Way too sketchy for something that is to do with safety. I have EP3 Premier Edition seat rails in mine as it's a straight fit in the car. You just need to drill a couple of holes to get them to line up with the SR3's. I think I paid £190 for the rails but this was 5/6 years ago
@@OllyRossThank you for your response. I searched the sites and did not find ep3 premiere edition rails, unfortunately. if I buy new custom rails for ep3 on ebay it will cost me a lot because of the shipping fees and weight so i will do a custom rails thank you 🙏

That is a pretty good idea to be fair! I will give this a go when I next get round to cleaning them up!

I’m not sure that Honda made the OEM red mats for lhd as they are a JDM EP3 item

I used the Premier Edition Recaro Seat rails and the seats are from a DC2 or EK9 Type R
