    This video has saved me from buying the whole hose assembly, thank you. I'm noticing a leak on the LH hose pretty much on the disconnect, I am at 112k miles. So I will be going in soon to get the disconnector and the O Rings. I just hope I don't need to replace the entire hose assembly.
    I was also told the other day when I went in for an oil change that I have a leak at the coolant turbo line. Would you happen to have a video on this repair?

    Hi Ben, great video! Quick question, I had the same lines leak on my 07 Focus, but when I went to Ford, they told me the O'rings on that same line but on the inside where the pipe joins the interior radiator needed replacement and charged me 2 days labor. My symptom was my right side footwell carpet was pretty wet, close to the firewall and I was using water. If the leak was outside as per your video, could the leak get inside the firewall and soak into the footwell carpet?

      I think what it sounds like in your situation, is the heater core itself was leaking. If I recall correctly, that year model focus doesn't have the o-rings (I could be wrong)

    Hi, I replaced my coolant reservoir with the wonderful help of your videos. The new unit was not Dorman and had good reviews. I filled it a little past the max line. I noticed over the past few weeks some coolant has pushed its way out of the seal around the upper small coolant line and dripped out. The level is now right even with the max line. Is that by design due to being too full of coolant, or is the o-ring leaking when that happens? Thank you!!

    • @BigBensCarsAndCycles
      @BigBensCarsAndCycles  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Glad it helped. the line and plug that go into the bottle should not leak. Theres an overflow on the bottom side of it. I'd keep an eye on it and see if it starts overheating from pressure loss, or order a motorcraft one.

    • @randalcalvert270

    Nice video as always!!! Hi Ben quick question i just bought 1 2017 focsu 1.0 ecoboost and the transmission is 6F15 automatic transmission. should i be concerned is this better than the DPS6 trnsmissison? Thanks.

    • @BigBensCarsAndCycles
      @BigBensCarsAndCycles  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Congrats! Yes, That 6F15 is an outstanding transmission. (I'd drain & fill it every 30k once or twice). But, the 1.0L ecoboost is problematic with the oil pump belts breaking due to tensioner failure (causing engine and turbo failure). If the engine hasn't been replaced yet, perhaps one day you can plan on having the timing belt, oil pump belt and tensioners replaced. Other than that, they're very good cars from a reliability standpoint. And you should have a lot of good years out of it.
