That is a fine relic with some very bad damage. It looks like a very small size from it's shape. I would be interested in hearing about the size or factory stamps on your pile of helmets. Great videos and you have a nice kitchen. Looking forward to your future posts!
@@WORLDWARRELICDISCOVERY yes but, for everyone? it's really bad to see them in that condition. it is true that many do not know how to restore them properly, for example they do not create the anti-rust zinc layer ...
@@majortom87 I do not use the anti rust zinc. I use it on engine parts, but not on helmets. I neutralize the acid with soda, then neutralize the soda with fairy and wax them. Then I store the helmet in a controlled environment with low humidity. To restore and preserve is a totally different thing. When restoring a helmet it is like making something new out of scrap. Preserving is to keep the history alive
Again a nice preservation and looking at the pile of helmets u have a lot to go
Good luck with them 😀
I still like this one alot :)
To remove rust and limescaling just leave it overnight in a vinegar bath. Then start brushing
Mine is now 2 weeks in desalt water ^^
Looks like that poor sod stepped on a mine , exit holes both sides
He was not a lucky man that is for sure. It indeed looks like a heads up explosion.
