Beautiful scenery. As an American Indian, I'm much more likely to believe in the Gods of my ancestors. They worshiped nature - no songs to learn, no one to hate, and no Hell to go to. Thanks for sharing. You're a beautiful and intelligent young lady.
wow I cant believe you got their great shot of the cubs!! so beautiful. I vaguely remember you talking about anxiety problems before, so I am happy you got out for the road trip, looks cool. I have PTSD and am stuck indoors mostly which sucks! I hope I can do a road trip soon like this one. still jealous of the cub shots, and you must have majored in film because you know how to use it. Keep the road trip videos coming.
I've wanted to go to Banff for a few years now, but that's a trip that's going to have to wait for a long time, unfortunately. Also that squirrel at the end is adorable.
I really enjoyed your videos from that cross-country roadtrip you did a few years ago and this video looks like the start of another great series like that. The footage here is beautiful. Have fun and be careful out there.
I remember the years I lived in Toronto, and no matter how much I prayed, our paths never crossed :( Metaforically speaking, of course, because I knew about your existence only 20 minutes ago
You ARE breathtakingly beautiful! I stumbled across your videos and I adore you. I can relate to everything you talk about. I specifically enjoyed the video about you explaining not being able to understand how theist believe in god and wish for a day you could basically be inside a believers head just to experience their reality. I have said the very same thing. I was brought up Catholic so I have experience in religion but I kinda always knew I was an Atheist even before I knew what the word was. Anyway, I hope you upload more videos. I really enjoy them. Take care!
I took an Acid trip road trip in 78 from Sandpoint Idaho up through Banff then to Calgary and back down through Montana. Great fun and very strange as well, some strange Canucks when you're tripping :)
Madam, I have watched you for years and am sorry that your posts are less often, but wish you well in your defense of the obvious. You are indeed a unique, but kindred spirit.
Great video, you squeezed quite a lot into that 7 minutes. I'd be watching my back with those bears around, you never know if there might be one behind sneaking up on you. The Burgess shale sounds really boring, until you realize the full implications of what occured there millions of years ago.
Like gold, fossils are where other people have found them. That said, the rocky mountains have lots of them. I found one in a pile of loose shale in Montana at the side of the road once.
As you pass through Calgary, if you go north just a bit (relatively) you could cut through Drumheller instead. Royal Tyrell Dinosaur park is there, right smack in the middle of the badlands.
I live in Canada too, but Canada is enormous so the terrain varies wildly from province to province. In fact I'm in the province beside where she was filming this video and it's just flat prairie
Revelstoke is close to where I live. Holy shit. I'm sure I can show you cool stuff on the way back but honestly, in my region (just a little south of Revelstoke) there isn't much.
I would probably have shit myself if I saw a bear. But she's just like "Awww how cute it's eating flowers. ... " Great vid! I hope you found fossils in the end.
yeah, the fossil beds in this park are closed. you can visit them with a guide, but are not allowed to take any of them with you. and nice catch with the bears. mind you they can be vicious when they have cubs...
Never drink water from a stream without filtering or purifying it first. Look up Giardia. It can be present in any stream no matter how remote the location nor how clean the appearance of the water.
Even at such a distance I would be terrified of a bear, but I guess it's not that uncommon to run into one in Canada. The only time I've ever seen a bear is in wildlife documentaries lol. Your landscape sure is a lot more exciting than that of the Netherlands.
Nice bear footage, but make sure you're in range of your car if you do that again, If she does notice you, you'd best make a dead sprint for the vehicle.
Hi, Love your videos. Your comment about people not being as obsessed with where they were before they were born as opposed to where they are going when they die is astute. But not all together accurate. For people who believe in some form of reincarnation (and there are more who do than one might imagine) the question of before birth or after death is the same question.
You can drive right up tot the fossil fields. Did that for a high school field trip. Found lots of trilobites. I haven't been to Banff in the last 30 years. Way too touristy and way too much traffic. Jasper is much better. You can drive directly to Jasper on the 93. Passes by the Columbia Icefields well sort of. The ice has melted back so far, it is quite a hike.
If you pass by Georgian Bay on our way to Toronto and you want to see fossils I'd recommend Craigleith Provincial Park. The entire beach is made up of Ordovician shale. I found a an incomplete but rather large trilobite fossil.
Ah, I'm sorry for the chip on my shoulder. I can't speak for all Indians, nor even my own. I was raised Catholic (one of the survival tactics Indians in the American SW learned when the Spanish came around). My grandfather was Apache and my grandmother was Tewa, but our native religions were never taught. I've studied various Native American religions and, for the most part, they don't seem to have a separate place for "evil" people.
Awwwwwww... that squirrel is just TOO cute. :)
I was aww-ing through the entire part with the bear cubs. Sooo adorable!!!
I've never seen bears eating dandelions before. Very cool.
Thanks for that bit of North country flora and fauna to finish out my day. Beautiful!
Beautiful scenery. As an American Indian, I'm much more likely to believe in the Gods of my ancestors. They worshiped nature - no songs to learn, no one to hate, and no Hell to go to.
Thanks for sharing. You're a beautiful and intelligent young lady.
The bear cubs are so adorable... ._. looks amazing over there!
I have so many cherished memories of time spent in beautiful BC...
You've inspired me to get up off of my yank ass and plan a long overdue visit!

Awesome video! Wish it was available to watch in HD..
Wow the Canadian Rockies are beautiful! Good to see your off to a fun summer!
Too Cute!
... and I'm not just talking about the cubs and the chipmunk.
;-)
I remember the years I lived in Toronto, and no matter how much I prayed, our paths never crossed :( Metaforically speaking, of course, because I knew about your existence only 20 minutes ago
You are absolutely perfect!!
Love your travel vids! Amazing bears and stuff !
Oh those were wonderful videos of bears and squirrels.
Truly the Canadian rockies are the most beautiful place on earth.
You ARE breathtakingly beautiful! I stumbled across your videos and I adore you. I can relate to everything you talk about. Hey Laura... great video. Best you've made in ages. I'm soooooooo jealous. What a place to be touring,
You inspire me to travel-vlog. Thanks for keeping these videos up :)
Thanks a lot for this. I really needed it.
You should got the the Banff Grizzly house they have the BEST fondue ever! I went there when I was a kid. Trust me its a must see.
I took an Acid trip road trip in 78 from Sandpoint Idaho up through Banff then to Calgary and back down through Montana. Great fun and very strange as well, some strange Canucks when you're tripping :)

Beautiful!
gorgeous scenery! I've gotta get up there at some point.
Bears remind me so much of dogs.
Great video, you squeezed quite a lot into that 7 minutes. I'd be watching my back with those bears around, you never know if there might be one behind sneaking up on you. The Burgess shale sounds really boring, until you realize the full implications of what occured there millions of years ago.
I enjoy your attitude towards life.
thanks for sharing your trip, and those beautiful bears!
Like gold, fossils are where other people have found them. That said, the rocky mountains have lots of them. I found one in a pile of loose shale in Montana at the side of the road once.
Looks like a great trip you're undertaking! Good luck!
BC is BEAUTIFUL. Flew Vancouver - Toronto once and it is simply the most magnificent I've ever seen. Alberta and on is le boring, though. :P
Greatest video yet
As you pass through Calgary, if you go north just a bit (relatively) you could cut through Drumheller instead. Royal Tyrell Dinosaur park is there, right smack in the middle of the badlands.
It looks like Parks Canada has guided tours of the Burgess Shale you should be able to find info on their website.
I could have watched an hour of this. Cool video
"Cubs! They're little!"
You could say they're *puts on sunglasses* bearly there...
I live in Canada too, but Canada is enormous so the terrain varies wildly from province to province. In fact I'm in the province beside where she was filming this video and it's just flat prairie
if your still in Yoho National Park, see the Takakkaw Falls. 2nd Highest waterfall in Western Canada.
WOW !
that some great video of bears !
What lens were you using to shoot the bears?
What a delightful trip so far. I am envious of you.
When will you know about TAM? (I know, nag, nag :)
What kind of camera are you using?
Cool, cool, cool, keep us posted and I hope to see you soon!
Revelstoke is close to where I live. Holy shit. I'm sure I can show you cool stuff on the way back but honestly, in my region (just a little south of Revelstoke) there isn't much.
I was expecting to Slenderman pop up in the woods.
You should try passing through some of the ghost towns located in southern alberta and saskatchewan along the way.
Thanks for the share!
This is why I love Canada.
I would probably have shit myself if I saw a bear. But she's just like "Awww how cute it's eating flowers. ... "
Great vid! I hope you found fossils in the end.
Enchanting.
yeah, the fossil beds in this park are closed. you can visit them with a guide, but are not allowed to take any of them with you. and nice catch with the bears. mind you they can be vicious when they have cubs...
Wow what a trip. Awesome
7th and 13th were the days we had exams here :D
Never drink water from a stream without filtering or purifying it first. Look up Giardia. It can be present in any stream no matter how remote the location nor how clean the appearance of the water.
Beautiful!
I wish they had shot Hunger Games in that area. :) (Your looking for the water made me think of that.)
majestic
Ye groove on, girl.
How did you get the squirrel to take food from you? They usually keep far away from humans. Maybe it is a city/country thing.
Even at such a distance I would be terrified of a bear, but I guess it's not that uncommon to run into one in Canada. The only time I've ever seen a bear is in wildlife documentaries lol. Your landscape sure is a lot more exciting than that of the Netherlands.
I lived in Banff for years, hiked all the time and never saw a bear. are you from out west?
That was bril, thanks.
thanks. good to know :)
i love the munchie sounds
Very nice, thanks! :)
Did you feed the chipmunk salted peanuts? Quite a delicacy for them.
BTW permafrost coming to a city near you.
Damn how close did you get to that mama bear and her cubs? I thought she would be pissed.
Nice bear footage, but make sure you're in range of your car if you do that again, If she does notice you, you'd best make a dead sprint for the vehicle.
Shes cute, she reminds me of Deb from Dexter.
Oh my that was adorable
Man I wish I lived in an area like that
the camera has a pretty good zoom

Cool bear looking under the rocks. I'm tempted to say it was looking for fossils but it was probably food.

Fun video... thanks for sharing
Never turn your mouth of the bottle into the flow, turn it away and it will filter small particles and debris out.
"Cubs! gawd, they're little!"
Do you have Scottish blood?!? ;D
If you pass by Georgian Bay on our way to Toronto and you want to see fossils I'd recommend Craigleith Provincial Park. The entire beach is made up of Ordovician shale. I found a an incomplete but rather large trilobite fossil.
After you contract a water borne illness by drinking untreated ground water, that $4 liter bottle will seem like a bargain! :oP
Video refuses to buffer. Not even the first frame of it so far, about ten damned minutes so far trying. Great TH-cam.
how do you pay for petrol and food?
seriously only 1 road in canada?
welcome back.
Be careful photographing bears. You don't want to appear threatening.
It serves as a warning to predators that one is too silly to be dangerous...
VIXIA HFS 200 HD Canon
Wow, you filtered that water..right!! If you did not filter it and did get sick you are very very lucky!!
Yeah, why do people go high pitched when something is cute?
Anyway shoutout from Calgary ^-^
interesting so you are from Alberta?
I cringed when she got the river water. I have been sick from drinking what I thought was clean water.
Did I get through? djeezus this crush is awful
Just watch out for daedra.
Fossils are in sedimentary rock usually.
Ah, I'm sorry for the chip on my shoulder.

Not spring aquifers. The rock and sand filter the microbes out.
Da Bear! DA BEARS!
more women like you please
