It is remarkable how it looks when a sensei is truly karate, the energy is expressed in each technique with the maximum intensity. Pure kime in every gesture. Real karate, not drill.

Dear Justo, thank you for sharing. Sensei Katsu is indeed a good karate ka and an absolute gentleman. He always strives to be better and always shares with others so that they can be better than him. I will pass on this message to him. We wish you the best👍⭐️

@@shuharishotokankarate The energy that he transmits and the passion with which he does it is admirable, and always with a kind gesture towards the students.
That attitude is what makes a sensei great.
Is he from sensei Asai's line? His way of doing karate reminds me of sensei Bertel.

@@justosigaud7839 Sensei Katsu was trained by his his Godfather, the late Soke Kanazawa RIP. He's a remarkable Karateka and person. If you ever have the chance to meet and train with him I would highly recommend it! 🙏🤜🤛👌👍👍🥋

@@justosigaud7839 as Mr Timothy mentioned, sensei Katsu is a direct student of and God son of the late Soke Kanazawa. Even though he was brought up with pure Shotokan SKIF way but he always says that karate is karate, he sees no style just martial arts/fighting art. He prioritise the students and will bring out the best in them at the same time he always said he learns from them. Thank you for expressing and sharing with us. Warm wishes 👍

Es notable cómo se ve cuando un sensei es verdaderamente de karate, la energía se expresa en cada técnica con la máxima intensidad. Puro kime en cada gesto. Karate de verdad, no simulacro.

I admire your work and skills a lot sensei, I really do but GOD I've been watching all of your videos and a question regarding the people you do seminars for arises in me each time. Who the hell gave those people black belts ? McDojo's are everywhere now...

Good afternoon. We will pass on your message to Katsu sensei 🙏👍 we are sure that he would be happy to hear from you. Please allow us to share a bit based on your observation, it’s not the 1st time we have heard this. The truth is we don’t have the answer to your question but we know that everyone has different status level and abilities. Our personal opinion, we can understand that Katsu sort of highlights this issue unintentionally because he is obviously good and outsiders tend to compare him with other martial artists but we believe that everyone has their perception of what good martial arts is all about. For Katsu sensei, he always says that martial arts it’s not about style but rather how we train and perceive it based on our preferences and circumstances, he is a very respectful and open person. Our warm wishes and respect. Thank you for sharing. Mc Dojos are a massive problem these days we agree.

@@shuharishotokankarate I share your/his point of view and to every karateka it's obvious that Katsu is training and teaching budo karate (which I admire and teach in my own club) . On the positive side it's important that students and Mcdojo black belt owners see a teacher like Katsu that will give them a different perspective , knowledge and motivation to work harder. We are all different people with different abilities, disabilities, lifestyle and we all go with our own paste but for sure there must be some unification of the criteria for becoming a black belt all over the world, sadly there isn't (at least from my experience). Bless you kind person behind the screen that answered me, bless your family, dojo and Katsu sensei. Have a nice rest of your day!

@@ufoguy good afternoon sensei. This is Katsu here ☺️ thank you so much for sharing with us all. I am delighted to hear from you because my colleagues/students did mention you. I suppose they don’t need me to reply your question as they always give answers that they know or they will share an opinion plus at the same time learn from it. After reading your comment all I can say is that it’s not a straightforward and easy path for me sensei, I can’t expect anything from anyone but I know that I will give my best to everyone. I understand and admire your perception. I am sure you contribute so much for martial arts. I am so appreciative that you share on this platform. I hope that we can meet sometime. Best wishes and respect 🥰
