Holy shit that analogy you gave the dualie squelchers makes a ton of sense. Using them more like a shooter and only dodge rolling when absolutely nessesary as a mix up option allows me to use them more effectively. Ironically almost like inner agent 3 lmao
I feel like some people underestimate the Dapple Dualies dodge-rolls. Whenever I need to dodge-roll to avoid a risky situation or get into position to get a kill with them, I would always dodge-roll twice with them no matter what. Because dodge-rolling twice with the Dapple Dualies is equivalent to dodge-rolling once with all the other dualies in the game?
My favorites being glooga I started Olathe blue version and although I never use ink mines whenever I fall off the map I have ink jet and it’s cool to see my enemies surprised when I surprise attack them
I used to play the Dapples a ton, until i reached around rank X, I switched from them to Kensa Gloogas because of the range difference and how long it takes to splat a player, just like you I also think dapples definitely deserve more credit then what their already reputation is. none the less still good weapons. nice video btw i really enjoyed watching thru! =)
I used to use Dualies, but they just couldn't stand up to the other weapons, especially once MPU became mainstream. Maybe in Splatoon 3, if Strength Up doesn't come back, I can go back to using them comfortably again.
The best counter is to practice your aim in the practice area and get the best gear possible once you get used to them they can be really fun and you will start doing better against other weapons
As a clappies main I don't care if it has the worst special in the game. I love how silly it is, for example using splashdown when super jumping to someone and get 2/3 and maybe 4 (which is not very likely but is possible)
@@Chase247 people underestimate the clappies in my opinion they be like "Ha you use the clear dapple dualies?" And then a few seconds later they get splashdown + torpedo comboed!
Since you asked, a buff idea I had in mind for tetras would be for dodge-shots to be as accurate as post-dodge. I dunno how effective that'd be in practice but I think it'd be nice. Something else I'd like to see, for Glooga this time, is a buff to the damage fall off severity like splattershot got recently. And another thing not as directly dualie related, but since you mentioned it with dapple. I think toxic mist could be buffed to instantly (or almost) remove a portion of the opponent's ink tank upon contact, so it'd be a little more threatening.
personally I used to use the Tetras, but then the Kensa dualies released, I tried them out and I felt that they fit me more than the Tetras, and they're still what I use to this day, looking forward to seeing how Dualies work in Splatoon 3 considering how much I love these weapons
3:40 ayyy! It’s my favourite duelies! Yay! 😇🥰👏👏👏👌 I love VDapples and Neuveou Dapples. Clear Dapples just doesn’t have a decent special and my play style with ‘em doesn’t exactly fit with their kit so I don’t play them that often (imagine if they gave clear dapples Bubble Blower. That’d be amazing!)
hey chase, would you able to make other guides on the other dualies? I want to start using the vanilla and nouveau dapples...and a few pointers would be nice!
Hi! Unfortunately I won't be making guides for other dualies, it would take me way too long and it's also too close to Splatoon 3's life cycle for me to justify doing it now. But with that being said, I will definitely do guides for dualies in Splatoon 3!
Dapples should have a third roll. Tetras have 4 and the others have 2. To compensate the lack of range. But I still love my Dapples. And I will use them in S3.
You asked about Tetra buffs, but looking back at the gamestate I don't think they're really needed. Picturing Splat 3, I will be wholeheartedly shocked if any form of Damage Up is brought back yet again, and it'll get 2, 3, maybe even 4 more chances at a good, fun kit, and suddenly two of its three biggest issues are fixed
Question, I'm maining Hydra and luna. both weapons are desent but they don't paint. I realy like using them though. Shut I focus more on the tri-slosh (what I desently like) or shut I focus on my 2 mains? Just a question, and I heard you talked about "Playing someting you like" Amazing vid. and stay awsome ^^
One thing to think about is that most negative things about any weapon really is that it's there to make the weapon as balanced as it can so some things MIGHT better if you fix that specific problem but most not really
I’m gonna have to agree with what you said about the tetra dualies. They are pretty fun when I bought splatoon I wasn’t a competitive player. It was just a fun game. And the tetra dualies stood out. They were extremely fun. Eventually I grew out of them tho. I started playing vanilla splat dualies. Ik they kinda do suck. But I love them because they are fun
My top dualies: 1. Glooga Dualies 2. Tetra Dualies 3. Dapple Dualies 4. Dualie Squelchers 5. Splat Dualies Splat Dualies are decent, but dont have many benefits or anything special. Dualie Squelchers just arent my thing. They have pretty good range, but bad ink consumption and I just cant get used to the sliding dodge roll. Dapple Dualies have the shortest range so I always die using them. Tetras are geat, kinda slow fire rate, but they can dodge for much longer and keeping up pressure. Gloogas are awesome. They kill in 2 shots, and have great range. Even though it has a a slow fire rate, it doesnt matter since your enemies already dead by the time you shoot 3 shots.
7:07 "if dapple dualies are in splatoon 3, which i'm pretty sure they will be, i hope they have somewhat better kits, or in other words, GIVE THEM A LETHAL BOMB" 💀
In terms of dualies, I really think it's dumb that the longest range one has objectively the best strength with the slide, making it invalidate most of the others. Dapples and/or regular dualies should have the slide instead really (seriously, dapples are meant to be the super mobile and light ones, why not give it the slide instead?) My personal favourite dualies are the Glooga decos. It's the weapon I've put the most time into for this entire game (and heck, before Gloogas existed I was hoping for a dualie based 52 gal). I love the aesthetics and how it feels when it goes turret mode, especially with the complimentary kit. Just hoping the Deco kit (and the weapon in general) in 3 has the same feel, just with maybe a tad more painting power. Also, I hope Tetras get a way better kit in 3 as well, because I've always been super interested in them.
Holy shit that analogy you gave the dualie squelchers makes a ton of sense. Using them more like a shooter and only dodge rolling when absolutely nessesary as a mix up option allows me to use them more effectively. Ironically almost like inner agent 3 lmao
Finally someone gets me as a splatdualies main the worst thing about them is the roll lag not mpu or range

I tend to dodge roll twice as well!
I don't play dualies much, but the class as a whole is so much fun and it's sad to see that most of them don't get used much.

Bro you just suck at Dualies. MPU isn't a problem if you're dodging like a madman not taking any damage.
Good idea to put all the parts into a compilation.

Dapples have good potential just like the other ones but if they would give them slightly longer range and a faster splashdown they would be very good
Not me running Ninja Squid and Dapples in Sploon 3
