That Relief Center sure was organized putting things in trailers by the Commodities even making use of the tent for toys.. it was really a nice setup lots and lots of hard work 🥰

It’s been over 2 years since Southeastern Kys 1000 year flood and we still have people in temporary housing. It washed so many homes away it’s really hard finding one that isn’t in flood zone. Not to mention the prices are through the roof. People can’t afford to buy with what they got from FEMA. Lots off our roads are still unsafe to drive. But we do what we have to do. God bless you all.

There have been so many disasters, human and natural, the past couple of years. Maui, East Palestine, Ohio, the multiple tornado’s in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, the forest fires in so many states, then the hurricanes on top of all that and I’m sure many not mentioned, it is just more than can be taken in. There probably not a state that has not been hit by something. What I don’t understand is how, as a nation, our elected officials can send so much money overseas, when we have so many in needs within our own nation. How sad that so many donations being ruined because of lack of proper storage. Where are the military tents. They - the military- must have some heavy duty laundry units that could be set up so that clothes could be utilized instead of trashed. DOD spends billions on supplies, which is our taxes, that end up being sent to other nations, that could be used here. If we can spend billions building an airport in Afghanistan, seems we should be able to put up some quick build structures to can house these areas with storage for supplies and distribution. Winter is coming and so many have no livable housing, with water, heat and power, along with the attire to survive. I pray we see the needs of this nation put first for once. Thankfully many have generously donated and continue to, but through your video it is obvious that more help is needed. For those donating, please be careful, apparently there are those in society that see this as another opportunity to scam. Make sure your donations are going to legitimate organizations, where a high percentage of the donation is being utilized for aid and not for the lining of the pockets of those who run it. God bless all that are dealing with these disasters and those who are giving their time, energy, equipment for the aid of others.
They have been doing it since WW2 with reperaration. After that it was because of communism that was creeping into surrounding countries, next it was because of oil we needed to keep our costs lower at the pump. Our country has a long history of handing cash to countries for these reasons and others. Every president and every party has done so. You can't blame one without blaming them all. Unfortunately we don't see all the big picture reasons they send money overseas. But without it our way of life as a free country would definitely have been in a different position. Do I wish we spent more on domestic issues at home? Of course. Tell that to congress who just before these hurricanes voted AGAINST funding FEMA and other relief agencys. You know who's in control of congress then and now. At the end of the day we are all Americans. We deserve to help our people out and sacrifice where necessary. Thats a hard balance to reach. I don't blame FEMA as they are in 6 states and strapped for cash. We can do better
Don't throw away the cardboard! For people in tents, put a tarp down, cardboard fashioned with duck tape, tarp over that, then the tent. The ground saps heat out. This will help. In the spring, you can layer cardboard over a garden you are making to stop the weeds, then dirt on top before you plant. Just make sure there is no plastic on the cardboard. As cardboard rots, it attracts worms. Please pass this information on to churches, etc. They have mountains of cardboard boxes they are throwing away. 1
