Oiled King Penguins in rehabilitation with Falklands Conservation

Falklands Conservation are currently caring for two king penguins which were found a few weeks ago with oil on them at Surf Bay. After weeks of daily care and attention, FC invited their very own Watch Group along to learn about the rehabilitation process, and we just couldn’t help tagging along.

They are all this tame. No fear of man so tourists have to be warned not to interact too much. Yes I lived over there for 2 years. Wonderful experience and EVERYONE is aware of importance of conservation. We could learn a lot from the Falkland Islands. ❤
