1992 was the year of The Crazy Bitch in movies! There was this movie there was Hand That Rocks The Cradle There was the catwoman in Batman Returns,still I think this one was the best!
I know & Single White Female definitely had a lot of action that kept me on the edge of my seat.:)

Single White Female is one of the coldest, most soulless films I've ever had the privilege of being extremely affected by. It was on TV again a week or so ago, and I'm still feeling bothered by it. The emptiness of that apt adds massively to the creepiness, as does the aggressively self-absorbed & arrogant 90s fashion/lifestyle-periodical look & sound of the entire film. It's like a living, breathing edition of every copy of Details magazine I read pre-2000.
I totally agree. When I saw this movie I got a sense of vacancy and dread throughout the entire film. I don't know if it was just the way the film was shot or what.
I stumbled across this movie at 13 year old. Scared for life!! Especially that scene at the boyfriend's house.
I gotta admit I like the 90s Psychological Thrillers a lot. The 1990s is the best year for Psycho Thrillers like the Alex Cross adaptation Kiss The Girls, the brilliant Silence Of The Lambs, the vicious and intense Cape Fear remake, the super creepy Single White Female, the gritty, violent and disturbing 8MM and lastly two of David Fincher's most influential and successful films that's the shocking and disturbing Se7en and the suspenceful Michael Douglas thriller The Game. Love 90s Psychological Thrillers they really made strong and brilliant ideas that made the 90s the best year for Psycho Thrillers

Arty Bookworm This is why the 90s is the best year for Psychological Thrillers. Nearly each Psycho Thriller in that year gets better and more creative in terms of suspense and storytelling. I personally love Se7en and 8MM along with this film. Se7en and 8MM were both gritty and violent while Single White Female is super creepy to the bone thanks to Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda's splendid performances.

I saw this movie when it first came out, I remember my girlfriend squirming in her seat and covering her eyes at times. It was a great psycho thriller with excellent performances by Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda... I wish Bridget Fonda was still acting in movies, she's a beautiful, talented actress who starred in a lot of films in the 90's. Check her out on imdb - 47 years-old and still gorgeous.

When did they stop narrating the movies like this? I remember growing up in the 90s and there was always that voiceover guy with a sinister voice speaking in these general phrases and tones. Somewhere along the way though that became passe not really sure when exactly that happened, late 90s? early 00s?

Truth be told, she gave it up since she was likely being bypassed for younger sluttier women willing to do anything. Movies are no longer what they used to be.

I've seen this "Single White Female' movie a few times many years ago. The modern remake of this film, "The Roommate" with Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester is also good, too. To me, these type of films are scary movies, because these horror stories actually happen in real life. I had to end a friendship not too long ago with a female who had shades of Jennifer Jason Leigh's character & Leighton Meester's character in "Single White Female" and "The Roommate'. The female was too nosy, too instrusive, too invasive, and went after the things I had before she came into the picture - my ex-boyfriend, mutual friends, etc. She was TOO clingy, co-dependent, too obsessed about having a guy in her life, too nosy, too invasive.
I've never dealt with a female who was as clingy, nosy, co-dependent, man hungry, afraid to be alone and by herself, opportunistic, selfish, betraying, wanting to copy off of other people, wanting other people's friends as much as this woman. Never in the history of my life have I dealt with this until recent years. Some of her behavior has emotionally scarred me and traumatized, and I honestly can't be around her because her behavior and actions have scared me and hurt me. I was shopping for a new purse for the summer tonight because I want to have a nice purse before my birthday arrives this month, and there was this one Native American purse I liked but I ended up not getting it because I want nothing that reminds me of that female friend. The print on that purse made me think of hot air balloons and the kinds of prints that people would wear in the state she lives in. I will not visit or step foot in the state she lives in to visit any monuments or parks either. I have never visited her state, and after my very unpleasant, scary, and horrible experience with many of the things she did this year - I will NEVER set foot in that state she lives in.
I don't plan on watching any TV shows or movies filmed in the state she lives in. THAT"s how traumatized I am from dealing with a female who had shades of Jennifer Jason Leigh and Leighton Meester's characters in 'Single White Female" and "The Roommate'. My blood pressure has been high since last month after finding out more things this female "friend" did. My medical, physical, and emotional health has dramatically declined since last month mainly because of that female's horrible actions and some other people's actions as well this year. Right now, I don't want to see anything that reminds me of her. I'm very upset that my physical and medical health has dramatically declined since last month. I'm honestly not doing well and am honestly not feeling well. My cousin and her friend are coming to visit me. My cousin lives in another country. And I have no doubt that next week she will look at me and think what the heck happened to me? Why do I look so frail and physically ill and sick?
Well, that's what scary, traumatic, devastating, and blindsiding experiences do to a person's physical wellbeing, heart, soul, and spirit. Because of that female, I now have to be more extra cautious with people and whom I befriend. I'm really upset that I'm not feeling physically well and that this has been going on since last month. My birthday is next week. I should be happy. But all I'm thinking is trying to will myself to make it through next week. I'm tired of selfish people casting a dark cloud and ruining my birthday, special events, and holidays. Anyways, be careful of females and males who are being very clingy, very nosy, very leech-like, vampire-like, too co-dependent, too eager to copycat your every move, who wants all of your friends including your ex-boyfriend, who is selfish, inconsiderate, self-centered, opportunistic, and who is too invasive and intrusive, and who is too meddling in your private affairs and relationships, and who violates your trust and blabs too many things you said confidentially and shares that with other people, and who is two faced, and who is TOO involved in your and other people's lives instead of working on improving herself and being a better person.
Watch 'Single White Female' and 'The Roommate' and be VERY cautious with whom you choose to be close friends OR roommates with! I swear that the scenes in this movie with Jennifer Jason Leigh going after Bridget Fonda's off & on & off & on boyfriend and ex, etc. is very similar to what that female friend did to me in terms of my ex-boyfriend. This movie scares the living tar out of me. Clingy, overbearing, nosy, invasive, intrusive, meddling, copycat, vulture & buzzard-like, boa constrictor, leech-like, too co-dependent, backstabbing, Judas-like, two-faced, betraying, taking over and dominating, etc. people scare the living daylights out of me because they give you too much drama and too many nightmare and make you life a living Hell! And you health and wellbeing, sense of peace, protection, trust, and security is violated because of people like the ones carrying the negative and unattractive traits I mentioned in this post.
I've seen The Roommate to compare two films from 1992 and 2011? How could you The Roommate is not a good movie. Time and time again i felt like I was watching a bland tv show all the way. There was not a good scene in that movie. Why would say the roommate is a good movie is beyond me.
