I'm kind of surprised Sync didn't use his King in Black Powers on the High Evolutionary
I think writers should brainstorm with previous writers so opportunities like this isn't missed.
What are synchs king of black powers?
Synch ages significantly when he recalls powers that aren’t in his vicinity. Resurrection is off the board right now so it probably wasn’t a good idea.
@@MrJohnson-zy2ns He could access the powers of all symbiotes connected to Eddie Brock's hivemind. In addition Sync would have the usual symbiote abilities like tendrils, bladed weapons, shapeshifting, fluidity, regeneration, and the powers from all of Venom's previous hosts. Deadpool, Spider-Man, and THE HULK, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, and SO MANY MORE were all hosts to Venom
Channeling that many abilities from a being like that at once, would probably singinficantly age him.
I really like how they portrayed Firestar since the Gala. They made her relevant without being contrived
One moment they show how powerful synch can be then turn around and make him look like a light weight. But next time I think synch is going to go all out.
It's the High Evolutionary you need to hit him when he isn't prepared and Synch did give him a drop of blood, so High Evolutionary had to come up with a counter.

Nah, not likely. I mean, even the Marvel higher-ups seem to have FORGOTTEN about him and no, no mutant has ever become a Dominion because OG Essex has become one, now and forever
How are these Wolverines not healing? From the Logan clones to Talon. How the heck were they killed off too easily?

@@hellblaze10 didn't Logan survive several nuclear bomb explosions (which also shows him being vaporized) before.
@@SoloQueueGamer he can regnerate from his skeleton. So long as that is still there he is fine.
At least this will help clean up the two Laura’s issue

I love the High Evolutionary as an X-Men villain. I’m interested in what a chat between him & Apocalypse, who already feels mutants are apex beings, would go. 🤔
Apocalypse beat him and had a chat during the fight in an old X factor annual. It would be dope if they did link up again

Like you said they are a perfect duo and now that things maybe bringing Scott and Jeans will they won't they back let Synch and Talon do their thing and still go on as an on and off again X-Men fan this is the kinda stuff that puts things on hold for reading. The foreshadowing of the epic war and their relationship is the first casualty I call bs. Just my opinion.
Synch could do the following
(1) merge her mind with the body of Wolverine (Laura).
(2) If the 5 are around, resurrect her or
(3) Find Diamond Sinister and have him clone her a new body
(4) Just let her go and avenge her
The fist one is isn't okay cause there basically serprat people now. The last one is bad becaues sinester. The only real option is the five.
Laura has been her own person her a while, and forcing the mind of another Laura might not sit well with Synch. He might ask Laura to accept old Laura and fuse.
I think option 4 is more likely given that the 5 will probably split up after the Krakoa era ends and no way would Synch ASK Sinister to make a clone body for Talon given all his crimes and schemes that led to the Quiet Council disbanding and the whole Sinister timeline thing!
Here's my take. Synch tried to fight the High Evolutionary on counter Earth using just Talon/X-23's powers to conserve his energy, thinking that would be enough. I dont know much about High Evolutionary's levels to be honest, so I could be way off, but Im a bit skeptical he could take out a mutant with multiple simultaneous omega level powers + an older X23 that easily. I think he was aided by being on Counter Earth, he had time to prepare as he was watching them, and that Synch just underestimated him. Not saying he would win, but If Synch used all his powers in a neutral location, I think the fight would be very different.
The high Evolutionary is a cosmic-level threat
so yeah this fight ended as quick as it should have
@@lockellegend5507 If you say so. I seem to remember Quicksilver, who is far weaker, giving him a much better fight in Uncanny Avengers (back in like 2015-16). And didnt Apocalypse fight him at one point? I think we're gonna get another chance to see, but I still think Synch foolishly held back here
@@mb24244 Also think that the drop of blood Synch gave the High Evolutionary help him give the High Evolutionary some counter.
I got a bad feeling that Synch would not be able to save Talon. We haven't seen Laura yet in either FoHox, or RoPoX. So chances are that Synch might end up losing the woman he loves, possibly for good.

I’m glad this happened I never liked the idea of there being two Laura’s so I’m happy killed off talon young Laura is way better
My biggest problem with X-Men right now is that it hasn't really been a team book in years. One issue is about Forge, then another about Kitty, etc. If Sync and Talon had been part if a group, this wouldn't have happened. Also, killing off Talon has zero dramatic weight: with or without the resurrection process, death is meaningless in comics. Just downloaded her into X-23 or make a clone copy for her to inhabit and move on.
That's what the other books are for. Some of them are teams and some of them were teams that are now fighting for their survival
I wonder why sync didn't just copy the powers of the high evolutionary....that would have been interesting

Xavier mind in Jean body but she had limitation when her body was breaking apart

Synch can recall previous powers at the expense of aging significantly, which is why he is heavily aged by the time of Rise of the Power of X

Can't wait to see how this plays out. Because wasn't it stated that the more Synch uses his powers the faster he ages.
Problem with comics in general is that they do not use 100% abilities learned from the previous writer. There is no continuity of power. Which makes me think that the writers did not properly plan this through.

I think all these subplots are taking away from the main plot of Orchis. By this time, everything should be coming together in preparation for the inevitable last stand of mutants against Orchis. The storyline with the high evolutionary and dr doom are a waste of time. They could have dealt with it prior to the fall of x
It's NOT a waste of time! In the newly released Marvel Solicits for April 2024, the cover for the main X-men book shows Doom's mutant team will teaming up with the X-men to take the fight to Orchis! 😊
Alot of information but how is Ms marvel in every single comic at the same time Everytime there's anything going on they say hey let's throw Ms marvel in there and it's getting obnoxious makes me less interested in the character
They are pushing her character as she is a mutant in the movies
Enough of this indiscreet gender dichotomy pandering.They also did it when they retconned Nightcrawler’s origin which required no “reimagining.” Can’t they craft a good story without incorporating some droll messaging? I mean come on X-Men fans have already suffered enough with the gratuitous addition of the thrice cancelled Miss Marvel. Why couldn’t they have been mysterious and let Sync come back with the device bomb but without LK and the specifics of the deal made with HE to be revealed with at a later date?
I don't think it's any gender shenanigans this time. I think Gerry Duggan is trying to be metaphoric...two souls become one type of stuff, or can't get any closer than in the same body. I think he is setting Synch up for heartbreak. Something tells me he will "lose" Laura's consciousness somehow before transferring her to a body.
