Hi Paul, I’m from Delano California - a small city between Los Angeles and Fresno in central California. I met Arthur shields through his daughter christine at their then home in Santa barbara. He showed us all his Oscar’s and shared a few stories of his past times. His daughter was a strong supporter of Cesar Chavez and the grape boycott. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet him and many other movie stars! I will always remember him as I watch some of his movies from time to time - especially National Velvet! My daughter will also have great memories of him as he held her in his arms when she was just months old! The shields family- great hostesses, great memories! Great video btw! God bless you!

The Quiet Man is my dad's favourite movie, and it's a bit of a family classic we watch a few times a year... We're taking a trip to Ireland this fall, and maybe if we have time in Dublin, I'll mention this to my dad and we can stop by to pay our respects. Thanks for showing this.

Thank you Paul. How Green is my Valley is one of my favourite films, but I never associate or focused on those two, or that they were brothers.
