    I am a Nurse Aide instructor in Virginia and we put on gloves for any bathing, perineal care, and catheter care. Standard precautions!

      Deborah, you are correct, every state has their own rules and regulations and you should follow the guidelines of your state. What is correct in Arizona may not be correct in Virginia and vice versa. Thanks for watching and for your comment.

    Doesn't matter if gloves are not required for testing it should be shown that when you actually give a bed bath you need gloves

    Good start but this is not good learning for a student because it did not show a full bath but just a face and one arm without gloves which increases the risk of contact infections. maybe you needed to rename it face and one arm washing

      Jude, thanks for your comment. Bed Bath is the name of this testable skill for CNAs in Arizona. You are correct, it is not a complete bed bath, but instead it demonstrates only what is required of a CNA to perform during their certification exam.

    Hello from Puerto Rico, thank you so much for this video. Im a practical nurse and was finding a way to bathe my patient in bed but in a non-freezing way. This was perfect! I know this video has some time but its still pretty good! Great job👍🏻

    aside from it isnt required... why no gloves? what in AZ has made this a non requirement and does this stand with current guidelines for covid?

    • @AZMTI
      @AZMTI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Cyan, yes requirements have changed due to COVID-19 since this video was produced many years ago. Every facility will have its own requirements that must be followed for resident and staff safety. This video demonstrates only what was needed during the skill exam portion of a CNA Certification in Arizona. Thanks for your comment.
