- Part Fifteen - Peaceful Bay to William Bay: Wild weather continues, forcing an unscheduled rest day in the normally tranquil Peaceful Bay. After waiting out the storm, Caroline crosses Irwin inlet by canoe and makes her way over the 'showgrounds,' where she encounters lots of local wildlife, big and small. Then it's beaches, followed by more beaches, ending the day with an invigorating swim in Greens Pool.

Walking on sand is way tougher than you imagine, eh? And those dunes look brutal! I can't believe this wonderful journey is almost over. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
It's hard work. Especially when it's a clear day and you're walking under the blazing sun. Luckily we had several windy overcast days to take the edge off.
@@GreatWalksoftheWorld - I'm in Singapore and live about 15 minutes walk from the beach, so I do quite a few sand walks in the heat. But I'm not wearing a pack!! Hats off to you...

Beautiful and that canoe crossing was further than I’d imagined. Well done I know how tough those dunes are to climb I can feel my calves aching just watching.

Unfortunately the fish and chip shop and the campground are gone.
According to their website it was closed for maintenance from May to Sept and should now be open.
