I like the way your curls were displayed in style #1, but I like #4 better for me. I sort of do that hairstyle already, but I want to try it using mousse and less gel.

Any suggestions for a product(s) that will weigh down curls for the hair left out in the back? I experience so much shrinkage when I try to do styles like this. they're cute for the first 35 minutes Lol I wish I could get my curls to stay elongated longer.

My favorites are 1 & 4
To achieve a half-up, half-down curly hairstyle, follow these steps:
Prep Hair: Start with clean, dry hair. Apply a heat protectant spray to prevent damage from styling tools. 💁♀🌟
Curl Hair: Use a curling wand or curling iron to curl sections of your hair. Alternate the direction of the curls for a natural look. Hold each curl for a few seconds before releasing. 🌀💫
Section Hair: Divide your hair horizontally, creating a section at the crown of your head. Clip the top section away to keep it separate. 📎✂
Create Volume: Tease the roots of the top section slightly to add volume. Use a comb or teasing brush to gently backcomb the hair. 🧴🔝
Gather Hair: Gather the top section of hair, leaving out some strands to frame your face if desired. Bring it back and secure it with bobby pins or a hair clip at the back of your head. 🎀💖
Final Touches: Adjust the curls as needed and spritz with hairspray for hold. You can also add accessories like hairpins or a decorative clip for extra flair. 💁♀✨

I’m not sure if I missed you saying this but do you suffer from breakage on your scalp? It looks inflamed and what helped me a lot with that was Mielle scalp oil
I don’t. It was just red from the tension of the styles. It always calms down a few min after.
