The government healthcare budget is double that of the military budget, the military isn't responsible for shitty urban planning that lead to suburbs that can't support cost effective public transport, and the US still has quite low taxes, especially for European standards. It's hard to imagine what utopia the US could be like if it just spent the money it already has more efficiently You could argue that the education budget is low because of the military budget, though, I guess.
