Thanq very much , i played rdr2 before with vulkan , but when i reinstalled it , it has been throwing this error ERR_GFX_STATE , after some research found it was due to vulkan , but the game is not starting for me to change the settings , with this i chnge it to dx12 and boom its working
So I have zero settings folder because the game has not launched one single time successfully. But is there a way to get one in there and make it do this directx? could someone load up a settings folder on google drive for me and i put that in and see what happens?

@TABtowinYT going to steam settings on the game and navigating to the option verify game files. But honestly none of this worked for me, I literally had to play on a new computer to get stuff to work correctly. Drove me nvts, nuts.

can i not just change it in game through the advanced graphics option?

Thanks, my problem was I couldn't figure out how to open with notepad instead of Edge.
Its still set to direct x when i launch the game, idk why

Right click the xml format file and then click edit with notepad/notepad++
