  • Herbal Rice Kencur

    Yield: 2 bottles of ABC syrup
    Please blend with a little boiled water:
    90 gr rice (which has been washed and soaked in water for 3 hours)
    5 kencur (use a big one)
    40 gr ginger (if you don't like spicy ginger, please reduce it)

    1.6 liters of water
    200 gr brown sugar
    4 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp tamarind (can be skipped)
    How to make:
    1. Boil 1.6 liters of water with brown sugar, granulated sugar. Cook until the sugar water dissolves & boils. Turn off the heat, then strain.
    2. Put the mixture of rice, kencur, and ginger that have been blended into a saucepan containing the boiled sugar that has been filtered (don't need to turn on the stove fire again because it's still hot enough, if the stove is turned on it will turn into lumps of porridge) then stir while adjusting the taste. Ready to serve / put in a bottle. Can be stored in the refrigerator, lasts up to 3 days.
