Great segment from an American couple's perspective! I can tell you that I much prefer Laughlin to Vegas. Yes, I know Vegas is unique unto itself, but for me, Vegas has grown too big and doesn't have that laid back attitude that most of us seek as we age lol. I hopefully got a LOT of living yet to do, and as Vegas doesn't have a river to take a JET SKI cruise on, that's another reason to like Laughlin. TBH, I could easily see me being a "snow bird" and plopping a new fifth wheel at one of the many Laughlin RV parks for 5-6 months could well be an option. Happy trails :)
I just came back from Laughlin.....had a good time except there was No buffets open anywhere on the strip... .also there was only a handful of stores open at the outlet mall.

I live in NSW Australia, we have the second highest number of slot machines in the world behind Nevada, so gambling isn't the main reason I'm going there, although I will be gambling a little everyday, it's just Getting my family of 4 to the USA is expensive and staying at the casinos is the best way to stay in the USA for the cheapest price...
I travel the USA to eat its food mostly

I love Laughlin because it’s so relaxing. You don’t have a lot of options. Movies, bowling walking along the River is beautiful. You can actually do Vegas from there. It’s about an hour and a half drive. See the sites and go back to Laughlin in the evening. I like the fact I never feel pressured to be somewhere there. A great place to spend quality time with family! There’s also horseback riding not far.

Been there more times then we can count and living in Bakersfield we always fine many from are city there on vacation and often stay 10 nights and love the desert. Also visit Oatman, AZ right out of Bullhead City, AZ its a fun place to visit and has old time post office and they hand cancel all mail.

Across the river in original Bullhead City, AZ., you can still find a home for less than $300,000. Walking distance to the river and casinos.
Sad to say that such a BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY NAMED "USA" has been DESTROYED BY BIDEN.
There’s a mobile home in Bullhead on Ramar for only $62,000. That includes the lot. What an investment.
Also anyone reading the river lodge also has a bowling ally/ a beach/ arcade for kids and a giant Lite Brite.

What’s your favorite hotel in Laughlin and why?
Our current favorite is Aquarius. We like the ambiance, the restaurants and if you're a player, the slots are the loosest on the river (in our opinion). Rooms are clean, and the rates are great. We've been going to Laughlin regularly for more than 20 years (from SOCAL), and until recently, always stayed at Golden Nugget. But a few months ago, a good friend of ours (serious player who lives in Vegas) told us about his favorite place to stay (Aquarius), and we've been staying there ever since. We love Laughlin, and rarely ever go to Vegas anymore.
Thanks for sharing Robert. I ran in there real quick to get some food and I felt like I was in Vegas. I got a great vibe from walking into the Aquarius casino area. I will most likely stay there my next visit. What’s your favorite buffet in Laughlin?
We typically don't do buffets while in Laughlin, but in the few that we have experienced over the years, Harrah's buffet is probably our favorite. We enjoy the sit down restaurants in the various hotels and surrounding area more than we do the buffets.
Aquarius web always go there the pool Is verry nice but on may 10 im Gonna go to harahs for a new experience

When you go across the river turn right and keep driving theres stores and shopping and ask someone on that side how to get to dokie town it's really great lots of donkeys that goes right in the stores its neat
Pro tip: Renting jetskis is way cheaper on the bullhead AZ side.

Laughlin has certainly changed since Covid, Colorado Belle has closed. Laughlin is not good as it use to be.
So other then the things you talked about is there other things to do, would you think 4 nights there if you don't gamble would be to long and boring.
I live in Bullhead City and honestly if you come to Laughlin Nevada you need to eat in the prime rib room or the Gourmet room the prime rib room has the best prime rib I've ever had the rest of the food the potatoes and bread and all that salads and desserts that's all a buffet and you eat that first then you get your prime rib and honestly the prime rib is so big it's like an inch thick or maybe sticker it's so tender it smells like butter in your mouth it's so good like I've lived here for like 14 years now and I will still go there every single night if I could and then also another fun place you can do in Laughlin is go to Bikinis Sports Bar and the Riverside losers Lounge usually has its busy nights and it's so busy can barely walk and then sometimes it has its slow nights where there's like two people in there so if you want a slow night it's not going to be much fun but if you want a busy night it'll almost feel like you're in Vegas and they also have the women's wet t-shirt contest and then they have like a ladies night were ladies get free drinks and stuff and Bikini Sports Bar there is busy nights for that
The slow nights there's probably like two people if that so if you find what the busy nights are you will have a lot of fun if you ask around and find out what there is to do here in Laughlin Nevada you will have a lot of fun but if you just come and try to find things yourself you're probably not going to have a whole lot of fun
@@kristiemarie4407 Even though the Nevada side is State income tax free, I've heard the Bulkhead side is more tax friendly. Is that true? Also have you ever been in one of those wet t shirt contest?
You just say you are from San Diego and don't say it is the HOME of In-N-Out? The little Vallarta Express at Genesee and Mt Etna. The two founders had a disagreement before it got big. One bought out the other and made it what it is today.
In n out is from LA I think. Either way it’s delicious

@@CesarCinema It's just across the bridge. across the river on the arizona side just north of the bridge. You can set up a day camp on the river shore and run your jet skis or just play in the water. It's a good time. Gets busy in summer of course.

Laughlin is my place. I've been going since I was 15! Now 36! The best time is cinco de mayo! Tropicana is the place to stay around that time, a lot of fun for sure. I love being on the water and hanging with the family. Nothing compared to the Vegas life and I'm ok with the chill vibes at Laughlin. More my style. 😎

@@CesarCinema that's a hard one. Aquarius, golden nugget, harrahs and Tropicana are all great. The riverside has a great club with live bands. If you ever go during cinco de mayo Tropicana is for the spot. Great music and great vibes. It gets extremely packed during that time. My favorite is hanging out with the family on the water riding sea-doos. Of you haven't done that you are missing out lol

I am so sick of people getting away with labeling little towns in Arizona and Nevada (its truly on both borders) racist. Some people see towns with predominant white people and label it racist. But really, its a culture thing. Whites often prefer suburban or rural/small town life. Blacks tend to live in cities. I have lives in both and always lived among hispanic/Mexican families.

Laughlin was ghost town and empty no restaurant no shop nothing we never go back that trip was not pleasant.

It depends when you go and if it’s the weekend but the Edgewater hotel where I stayed at was only $50 a night.

Para nada, solo pagas 5dollares si usas el taxi de agua, para ir de un hotel a otro..tambien puedes irte x atras de los hoteles manejando.. pero x la experencia vale la pena usar el taxi de agua
Solo si kieres usar rentar los jetski motis de agua, te piden ID, para rentarlos..tambien vale la pena rentar los motos de agua.. el rio divide Nevada y Arizona..en Arizona es mas barara la gas y tambien puedes rentar los motos de agua x una hora, si es tu orimera vez, una hora es sufuciente

I got a free trip to Harrahs and stayed at Aquarius, Harrahs is farther away from the other hotels and I didn’t care for the machines as much as Aquarius.
Wonderful place , raise my son there, lived in Portofino . Gladly Laughlin was a wonderful woman up at Bennett Elementary !! God bless this sunshine

Thanks Joseph! It was $21 per adult. The pool was not heated but the jacuzzi sure was. Have fun out there and let us know how it goes or plz feel free to add any tips or things to do.
I wanted to tell you both that I love this video, we are going to Laughlin and we are helping to get over to bullhead City so it was so nice to hear that there's actually a free boat ride across the river to get to bullhead City y'all keep up the good work and we are staying at the Edgewater also and loved it that we got the location for the boat across the Colorado you both had a great lot of useful information
