Even better than that....... Buy an off-road 3/8" thick rear cover and weld mounting brackets to that. Then make a custom "ladder bar" style torque arm that bolts the the rear cover brackets. No welding is needed to the Nodular Iron casting. If the brackets are wide enough apart ,you can use spacers in the bolts [for heim joints] to adjust the ladder bar laterally , And the heim joints in the ladder bar can adjust pinion angle.
