Ever since seeing this bloke do drumeo “killers” cover, I’m a big fan of his great attitude more than anything else, seems like the nicest guy with a great drum Philosophy.
This is great! It's a whole different perspective on a song I know so well to have the focus almost exclusively on the drums, it raises my appreciation for how intricate some of the song arrangements actually are. Dirk is easily my favourite Megadeth drummer.

There's a man that loves what he's doing. We all know Dave's an extremely intelligent individual. I mean who else could write "It gives me a migraine headache sinking down to your level"? Lost count how many times I've used that line. Anyhow, Dave could probably get any musician he wanted to tour with him but look who he choose. He knew what he wanted & he got it. Incredible lineup of exceptionally talented musicians. I love it. I really do. I'm going to be catching a show this late Summer. I can hardly wait.

He reminds me of Hal Blaine who I consider the goat. He might end up better than peart, rich, grohl and rcph Dave. He's got to he ambidextrous like half with all the cross overs and timing. He doesnt rush them, and you can tell hes confident enough to let Silence be a note so it stays in beat.

Can anybody identify what the hi hat mic is? Obviously a side-address mic, but I am curious what the make and model are. Also, I personally would have put it UNDER the hats, but that's why I want to know what mic it is. Maybe it rejects so much from behind there's no NEED to isolate it. Inquiring minds want to know. (yes, I'm an audio geek)
Very good! But,the only "difficult"parts were the the tom rolls. Everything else was straight ahead 4/4 stuff. Very hard hitting(which you really don't have to do 'cause everything is mixed really well) Great drummer!
Someone fire the drum tech, not to mention, give the sound man a raise, because, he's pulling rabbits out of his hat! If Dirk wasn't wearing headphones, he'd go back to tuning his own shit. Go ahead, come at me. Be careful though, I am a retired professional!
As much as I wish Dave still that the “Rust in Peace” line up: Marty Nick Menza David Ellefson I gotta give him credit. He brings in star players. Metallica is just the same old shit.
