If you enjoyed this video - and even if you didn't - I think you may enjoy watching my full-length documentary about Friar Park. th-cam.com/video/rB1TMlKn3Jo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rmps8hdcszM9gzLF
The Jacobian Hall is my favorite part of Friar Park, inside that is. So much beautiful woodwork! Thanks for showing zoomed in pics of it, I don't think I've seen them so up close. Absolutely beautiful
Those jukeboxes were made where I live, right HERE in Buffalo, NY....!! Isn't that clock the one in the old photo on the stairs...? Luv the vest he was wearing.... My Mom sewed, and she made me the coolest Nehru gold n yellow paisley jacket when I was in HS....I Bet someone still has it....
Great "snaps" and interesting and informative narratives. The incredible carvings, windows, and other creative detail make Friar Park far more attractive than Tittenhurst Park. I could spend an entire day alone in Jacobian hall - stunning detail and art. Among other songs, l George was inspired to write "The Ballad of Sir Frankie Crip" from All Things Must Pass. I want those friar face light switches!!!! Would love to see more of the rest of the mansion too. LOVE this stuff!
Thank you for sharing these egret snaps! I far prefer George's place! I could not live in John's. I like to surround myself with beautiful handmade things.
To Patti Boyd: "yes, I would like some tea, straight up." Thanks for emphasizing the correct pronunciation of Dhani. Or as I usually say, li'l Danny boy Harrison.
I adore (and did a pastel years ago of) the photo of George in the stairway with that gorgeous leaded glass window as his back cloak. (From the All Things Must Pass poster... if I recall?)
That is like a castle!!! I know we won't see much, but I think we'll drive by this weekend. Even though nothing much can seen at Tittenhurst Park, and it's heavily guarded by strange men in black suits, it's fun to drive by.
What a beautiful house; so different from George's first house. It would be interesting to know how much he paid for this place and how much he put into it. My guess is that he spent more on the renovation and maintenance than he did on the original purchase price. Living it up the Material World!
12:47 I am pretty sure that inground pool at the upper left (Southwest) corner of this photo, was being constructed during the recording of the "Sgt. Pepper" album. Much to the dismay of the other band members, George was NOT showing up for many of the recording sessions of that album and spending his time supervising the construction of this pool.
That was at Kinfauns. GH actually didn't buy Friar Park until 1970. Kindly check out my documentary on Friar Park here on my channel. I think you'll enjoy it.
@@StrangeHistoryX Thanks again for the info. I just now checked out "Kinfauns" at 16, Claremont Drive, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9LU and it has been demolished and another home built in it's place!
Dhani -- this name is derived from George's spiritual influence from India. The word 'Dhan' in sanskrit/hindi means Wealth ---not just of money but knowledge, luck, heritage, love etc. as well. Dnani simply means who has all of this. It is corrupted by the anglicized pronunciation of it to sound as "Danny", but it has a distinct phonetic pronunciation which emphasizes the sound "dh" as it would be in Hindi.
Every member of my family have different names. Me, I have many. I am Mary Julia ( yes John and Paul’s mums names) at school Mary Julia, my family, May, my brother and father Maisie Dotes, My husband, Scarlet and Mary, my kids, mummy Jude. 😂❤️
Just wondering why you keep saying Patti is brilliant? I’m sure she’s a very nice woman but what makes her brilliant? I don’t really know too much about her personally.
I used to work for a company that delivered LPG gas, as well as another company that was an energy supplier. Henley on Thames, where Friar Park is located, has many properties which rely on external LPG tanks to be filled up. I believe it's because of the geography of the place-low water table, soft land, water logged, which means it's not suitable to have gas mains installed.
You missed the part where I made a joke about that? Listen to more of my videos. I make jokes about that all the time. Thankfully you never heard me say Mirror or Drawer or Coffee. That will really drive you crazy.
If Patty offered me a tea? Why, I would say "yes please, very kind of you". Out of my deep respect for George and the great Beatle he was, l would never allow any sinful or wrongdoing thoughts to enter my mind regarding his woman! You nice videos excepts for your endings. For this reason, im not subscribing because all i hear is this "adopt"as if you advertise for the pet craze. These animals are everywhere and the industry is getting rich from suckers that fall for this push. No more viewing from me...

❤ there's simply no question George's paradise was heaven on 🌎 earth ~ 🕉️

Strange History X: thanks for posting. Sweet jukebox. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Cheers!🥨

The clock on the stairs does look like the same clock. I noticed that, too. Very observant of you. Yep, I think that's it.
You could say that about George as well...
How could one not but be inspired on so many levels, by this absolutely stunning historic mansion & grounds.
I agree completely, as you know. Amazing place. More videos coming soon, including George Harrison's Spiritual Journey that I hope you will enjoy.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words.
😄Thank you so very much for this tour/ and the Nillson info✨👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Yep, and that is certainly Friar Park. It's an incredible place.
Why would anyone choose to have boring light switches? Thank you for showing us the architecture we will never get to see on our own.❤
If Patty asked me if I wanted a cup of tea, I would say "yes, thank you"
Walking, strolling is how my lyrics glue gently together. We are a silly bunch, us humans.
George looks like quite the English gentleman, Lord of the Manor. Good for him.
Thank you 🙏 for sharing your photographs with us

That a very old nice house restored they did beautiful work as the song buy George went all those year ago
Yes luv, I’d love some tea.. And hope you and George will join me.
I’d rather see the Crackerbox Palace than any other place
It’s pronounced Jack oh bee anne not jahobehan. Love your videos. Fascinating! ❤
I get calm and relaxed at a place like Friar Park.
Not so much at John´s Tittenhurst mansion.
Thanks for the ride in your time machine.

Personally, Kinfauns would be my ideal mansion. For what its worth.
Incredible mansion
I think for me Tittenhurst would be easier to handle 😂WOW - Friar Park is so very massive but still would have it if able to afford.
Part 3 please ; )
Stay tuned. I'm working on it. :)

(John's) Tittenhurst.👍 I love minimalism.
I really like Kinfauns more than any other Beatles mansion
❤
What a magnificent palace. I read he paid 150 pounds in 1970. That’s a bargain price
Thank you for your little rant about Dhani's name!! I hear people say it wrong so often

Имя "Дхани" Джордж создал из названия двух индийских нот.

Its irritating to ask at every picture to react in the comments. Like your content.
Why no security system staff to patrol protect his him his family .
how did they heat this place????

I just want to know who was the guy or gal who had to keep this place free of dust?.Were they trusted enough to not sell dilrt from George,s house?
George could not figure out enough ways to frivolously waste his money
Please please look up how to pronounce Jacobean. You pronounce it wrong over and OVER again!
