The first watch I ever bought from Alli and I didn’t know why no one was talking about them on TH-cam. Since then I’ve bought many Addiesdive and now ppl are starting to pay attention. Great video!
Nice selection mate. I've got the Willard and the Pick myself too. I'm surprised the Puck hasn't been reviewed more as well. I think people are put off by the diameter, but the lug to lug makes it surprisingly wearable, on my 7" wrist at least.
The value for money is bonkers. I think this 11.11 sale is going to be insane. I even like that Addiesdive put the date on the Tuna at 6 o’clock versus Seiko does at 4 o’clock. That Polar Willard is an absolute future purchase. And if that AD2902 had a sapphire, I would have bought one already. Thanks as always!
I have the Puck and can confirm it is a superb Watch and wears very well, I did upgrade the clasp, as a matter of course, the case finishing is spot on.
What a match made in heaven, some excellent quality Addiesdive watches on deals, and John! You've shown some great ones. I've raved about the Vaer-style and Willard style models for ages and they are great to wear.
Purchased their “Willard” at their last sale and have been very happy with the decision. Nice looking watches all around and the specs for the price are fantastic.
i picked the Addiesdive Tuna in black on the Summer Sale for around 60usd, and im very impressed with the case finishing and overall execution, tho there is a little misalingment on the bezel, even with that i cant deny it is certainly a big bang for the buck! 11:11 sale is coming, i have my eye on the WatchDives WD1960S (Explorer homage with VH31), anyways, great vid, find them very informative, keep it up!
Hi John, of all the watch people I follow, I like your reviews the best. When You say a watch is really a good buy, I know I can buy it and won't be dissappointed. Hope you will feel better soon. Greetings and looking forward to more reviews to come!
Thank you Louis I appreciate that. I am fine. Everyone around me has full blown colds but I seem to be fighting it off for now. Just a bit grotty today :)
Thank you kindly. I'm ok. There is a heavy cold going around that everyone got....but I got away with it. Just felt really crappy yesterday. All good today 😊
Get some rest. Good video. I love addiesdive watches. The only issue I had was the bezel barrel popped off. I must've knocked it somewhere. I Think I might replace the case but it's cheaper to just replace the the watch. Really good lume on these watches. They look great. Cheers all
Great review john i have the addies sub its really accurate. They are well made the clasp is not so good id prefer a cadisen type clasp.but for the money they are great
Another great review of some interesting 'pieces from Addiesdive, I have one of their watches that I bought on a whim and I'm a bit 'Meh' about it, but as it was so cheap, I'll probably use it as a beater? However, the watches you've reviewed are rather different, the 'Vintage' style diver and the 'Tuna/Tuna Can' appeal to me the most, and I'm currently wait for an SD Tuna to arrive. Keep up the good work and I hope you're feeling better very soon.
Hi buddy and thanks for the comments. They do punch well above their price point! I love that Tuna and the new Retro Diver is awesome. The crystal shaped to the slope of the bezel ...well they nailed it! I am feeling fine now thanks. Everyone round me is down with heavy colds and I have been fighting the shivers for days but seem to have gotten over it. Fingers crossed 🤞 :)
@@johnswatchjoint Thank you for the very quick reply, yes my fingers are crossed for your recovery. How's Molly doing? she seems like a natural input/low key focus in/on this crazy world we're in right now! I can't wait for my 'SD Tuna' to arrive later this week and your next review, you just seem so focused and honest on VFM and that's a rare commodity these days, with all the 'media' etc. Just keep doing what you're doing❤.
Thanks for that. It can be difficult bto keep focused and continue to grow the channel. Of course YT do not help and there are so many hoops to jump through! I have to be honest. It was Ben's Watch Club that really inspired me. Credibility is everything but now and again you review a watch that makes fickle people question that. At the end of the day if I think I should review a watch, even out of curiosity, I will review it. I'm in the middle of one right now that no doubt will cause a stir, but I have never handled one and I am curious! Wish me luck haha!
Hey John, I disregarded Addiesdive after my first one was a dud. Thanks for sharing your insights. I'll give them another shot. The tuna you demonstrated looks dynamite.
I figure Addiesdive and Steeldive are made in the same factory they are so close in design and Quality. The lume on their recent watches has been amazing...better than watches costing 2 or 3 times their price. My next purchase is going to the MY-H6 with the plan to do a oil fill mod. I've done these on quartz powered movements but not on an NH35. I figure the trick is to use the lowest viscosity oil I can find to minimize the load on the movement, With the overall strength of the watch the liquid fill should ensure it's 1000m capable....will I ever need 1000m ..no....so why..because Engineer! maybe I'll get the chance to pressure test it some day? I clicked on every link to take a look and if I buy in the near future will go through the affiliate link.👍
Hi John. I thought that too but I have found quite a difference in quality between Steeldive and Addiesdive. There is definitely better QC with the latter. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments :)
@@johnswatchjointHey John in hope you're feeling better. Question - I'm looking for an Alpinist style watch with an internal rotating bezel (maybe even with an inner compas dial). Any recommendations on Ali?
Cool. I like this Addiesdive . It does not wear thick as that crystal has a high dome so it still slips under a cuff very nicely. The slope of the crystal also matches that of the sloped bezel. Lovely colours and patina :)
Might have to get the Willard. Not so keen on the blue SD version I’ve already got and at this price the AD is a bargain! Btw you’re popping up in my feed right at the top mate. Liked regardless. Feel better soon my man.
Thank you glad to know I'm in your feed. The algorithm has halved my viewership in the last 4 weeks. It's just switched off. I'm sure I will get picked up again. I have no idea how it decides what to push and not !!?!!? 😆
I ordered 2 of the white dial (AD2117) during the last sale @ approx. $60/ea. One I put on white tropic style strap, which looks fantastic. The other I completely modded everything. What a great watch for the $$$. Its hard to find a better $$$ to value watch on Ali.
First of all, great content ! I bought an Addiesdive sea hunter and am quite pleased. Have a sub 😎 Lastly, where can I hear your intro music in its entirety ? Who is that ? Sounds amazing
Hi there and welcome aboard. The music was put together when I started the channel and I cannot for the life of me remember who it's by sorry. All paid for on licence of course.
Just ordered the AD2101. This is the third watch I've bought after watching your reviews! Next time I come to Scotland I might have to lock you in the cupboard of doom!!
I still wish they'll release another White Willard with a sand dune dial like the one from AD2030. Gotta admit I still have mixed feelings about the "Salt Flat" dial, but I'd be lying if it's not one of the unique designs that made this watch stand out.
I really like AddiesDive, I just wish they would make some different watch case’s as it all basically the same watches with different dials. Bang for buck AddiesDive makes excellent watches though.
I'd entertain the Willard I think but, I'm struggling with thicker watches. It would likely be my last one of that beefy size. Still dailying my Proxima 1697
It was your fault I bought it when you dropped that dark dial version video haha... But yea, I keep buying stuff and that's the one I keep coming back to.. Unlike Sunderland, it's a hard one to beat
For me and my daily preferences the AD2029 is the most beautiful watch. Sure it doesn't have a sapphire crystal but for an office watch it is simply stunning. I would easily have the puck and the Tuna though. Both equally as stunning but not as practical for me
I really like the Addiesdive retro diver. Addiesdive as a brand have come a long way. First time I came across them their products were labelled "Addies" and they copied the "Adidas" logo, no kidding!
That's a shame. Unfortunately I cannot tell from my end in the UK. I have heard that AliExpress do ship to Canada after others complained that they didn't. Someone mentioned adjusting browser settings and also VPNs can cause problems? Just a suggestion buddy. Thanks for watching :)
Hmmm. I’d like to see these watch making companies and stores on AE who claim 1000m and 300m or even 100m water resistance for their divers actually prove it. I’ll not hold my breath waiting.
I always take water resistance ratings with a pinch of salt. I always point this out in my videos :)...however I have taken a few into the water as I am a Paddle boarder without incident.
