Done a great job but I’ve been in the motor trade for 40 years + and have owned quite a few Land Rovers. But if someone said to me, here’s one for free but you have to drive it for two years and drive nothing else. I’d have to say sorry mate you’ll have to keep it
Maybe the previous generation but the new Defender I would be closer to disagreeing with you but I too like to drive a variety of vehicles but then again it was free and it is only two years and at my stage in life two years is not that long.@@tarmac1697

Absolutely brilliant! Mr Jones is a real gentleman and he deserves this fantastic Land Rover. I love the way that it is bespoke and unique but actually pretty subtle and classy. I would have preferred a Chevy V8 with a manual gearbox but that is me and it's not for me so that does not matter!

As you say, Mr Jones is a real gent and does love his outdoor pursuits. We also love a Chevy V8 and have a few vehicles currently in that will have these engines.

What a creation! Epic work! The original defender is still the one... looks really rugged and purposeful. I reckon I would have at least an extra seat in the back or a bench but its looking impressive to sat the least.
That's beautiful. You should take more footage of the interior, and maybe some night shots so I can see the lights and the atmosphere inside.

That is a wonderful piece of equipment,it will be far better than the origanal, i'v got several of them that I have to sweep up on a regular basis. You've hilighted what i'v said for years. When people ask me what land rover to buy, i'v told them to buy an absolute wreck, rebuild it, and in doing so you iron out all the nastiness from the factory. Thank you for sharingmthis with us👍👍👍👍👍

The one seat in the back was at Vinnie's request. As we state "Your Design, our Creation".
Not digging the " posh mobility" rear seat.

@squireeditionsltd Not seen a BMW V8 transplant. Of course we've all seen a LS3 or 'tang transplant, and of course also the BMW M/N57 transplant. So what made you guys choose the Beemer V8 over the American crate engines?

Not my sort of landy and I couldn’t give a shite about bags of air being ⚽️⚽️⚽️ kicked around the field but the one thing I do love is how a simple and old Land Rover can do this to somebody. They truly are a unique vehicle!

Spectacular. Could do with lighting the inside of the vehicle next time as on camera it was very dark and difficult to see results of the hard work and skill that have gone into it.
Tata should return to UK Ownership. This is what is possible with UK Engineering.
Like it so far, the one rear seat lets it down for me.
The outside is wonderful, the BMW 4.4 V8 engine and 8-speed auto box great too, the drivers and front passenger plus dashboard looks good too.
A 110 LWB Station Wagon, was designed to carry upto 12 people, reducing it to just 3 seats, sorry no thank you.
Landy's after all, have to be practical off roaders.
Carrying a lot of people and a few dogs, plus whatever else you need to carry with you too.
Even in a top of the line luxury Landy, you need at least 4 to 5 seats, I cannot get past one seat in the back.
You obviously don’t know the reason for the 1 rear seat

The point being as is in keeping with the original land rover ethos is that it can be made into anything you want it to be . This truck is specifically tailored like a hand made suit to Vinnies needs not yours or anybody elses. He did not need or want 4-5 seats . It is practical to his needs . If he wants to transport 5 more people with guns, dogs and mud he can well afford to have another S#it box Landy following behind !

I bet TATA, the owners of Land Rover regret discontinuing production of the Land Rover Defender. It’s good to see British craftsmen are still the best, despite pen pushers selling off Land Rover to foreign conglomerates. 🇬🇧

Have the doors been tested for smashing heads in?🤔 SO PLEASED you skipped the stock Land Rover crap engine and fitted the BMW unit. The stock motors are notorious for unreliability lets Land Rover down - I know Ive bought several all the same faults. Bit embarrassing when you need to get in or out of a 'hot spot' fast with a few buddies...... (say no more) and it breaks down.🤬 BUT your upgrade is superb - THAT is a quality build! These 'classic' body Defenders were the last good ones. The NEW Defenders are just 'Chelsea Tractors' designed for Kensington too heavy and NO USE to the forces anymore! LAND ROVER TAKE NOTE !! SQUIRES are the way to go!
