Maybe it's just me but it seems like so many more movies and characters are represented here. I loved the parade especially seeing the Princesses and Princes walking!
Disney doesn't own the majority of the parks in Japan. Japan seems to really care about their parks and the cities. Sadly the United States and Disney don't seem to care about things the way Japan does. The people are so respectful over there as caompared to here. I love your videos and you 2 make me smile watching them. I hope to run into you both someday. Until then I will always keep watching.
Japan does everything better regarding packaging and presentation. For example, in my grocery store's international food section, even just plain noodles are trimmed and perfectly aligned in the package and wrapped in portions with paper bands.
@@BernardManansalayou are correct it’s a licensing agreement with OLC. The resort is not owned by Disney. I was a cast member at Disney and it’s the park we cannot get into free because it’s not owned by the Walt Disney Company
Imagineering still creates the Disney parks in Japan, but yeah OLC does a better job of maintaining it all and I think the Japanese crowds are more considerate and less destructive and also all the rides have sponsors to pay for upgrades and maintenance

Japan really keeps the magic of Disney alive! The dream Walt Disney had in his heart for Disneyland expanded so far, I don’t know if he ever dreamed his parks would be all across the world, but Japan truly keeps the magic of Disney alive and you captured it so beautifully! ❤
So much fun! It's really interesting how the international parks randomly alternate between English and their native language! It's also interesting how Tokyo has the earlier version of things that had been changed in the US parks. Oh, BTW- WDW never had Stitch in the Enchanted Tiki Room, they actually had a version called "Under New Management" which featured Zazu from The Lion King and Iago from Aladdin. I worked there for a bit as a CM about 20 years ago. It got a lot of flack, but I always thought it was fun- it was the first version of the show that I saw. I never got around to going to Disneyland's Tiki Room as a kid. Stitch actually makes more sense with the tropical theme though! Under New Management was there for many years...they finally switched it back to a version of the original show several years ago after one of the Iago audio-animatronics caught on fire.
Those luggage tags. Would make a really nice Christmas present tags. Something that the person would get to keep forever not only the present but also the tag. An aunt gave me a little elf on my present instead of a bow. something like 55 years later I still have that elf.
Peter and Kitra you are the best! Ordinary Adventures is the best channel on TH-cam! You make life so fun and our whole family loves all of your videos. Have so much fun at Walt Disney World. I think you’ll find Magic Kingdom is very similar to Tokyo Disneyland but not as amazing. The rest of the parks are very different though
That Haunted Mansion Holiday is so cool!!! Seeing so much more of Sally was so neat. And the parade was amazing!! Thanks so much for always taking us on your adventures. I'm going to be sad when the Tokyo content finishes, but I'm also excited to see what's next! :D
21:20 There used to be a law in Japan where any railway with more than 1 stop had to follow regulations like collecting a fare or having the train cars enclosed. To avoid having to follow regulations it was made with only one stop. That's also the reason why the monorail in tokyo disney collects a fare as it has multiple stops.

You guys, I have been enjoying the HECK out of these Japan Disney videos. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures--wish I could give you a thousand likes!!
Your footage from the Mark Twain was so beautiful Peter. I cant believe how clean and nice the animatronics and costumes are. Both at wdw are looking worn and tattered. Belles dress in Festival of Fantasy Parade today looked really bad. After seeing these 2 beautiful parks you will really notice how downhill wdw has become next time you are here. Im just grateful I got to enjoy Disneyland in the 70s and 80s...their golden yrs 💛 and im happy you got to visit Tokyo Disneyland 🥰
20:40 so, Japan, is very much of a train nation -- and there were so many laws about trains in place already, if Oriental Land (the company that's running Tokyo Disney Resort) wanted to run a train system with multiple stations, they had to obey the laws in ways that destroyed the Disney magics, and pay the train taxes to the department of transportations.... So they got away by just making it an attraction ride without any other stations. If you notice, disney sea does have a train and boats with multiple stops...after Tokyo disneyland's successes, the government seems to have allowed much more, but long story short, the land is still stuck in the 1990's in so many levels, and it's awesome :D

Just loving the vlog series, I love that have more shows, and you can still enjoy it, even though the different language. Then they definitely need bring some enlightenment to CA.
Yeah even though it’s in a different language most of the storytelling is so visual that you don’t feel left on the dark. I felt like I understood 95% of what was going on
Note the TDL Train is like that because in Japan if you have a train with more than one station it is considered an actual transportation train and they must charge the guest. Same reason why you have to pay for the monorail at the resort.
I'll be the first to say it. ~ Almost totally worth the trip to this park just to hear Big Al sing "Buh-Ludd Awwn Tha Saddle" again! ^ _ ^ Good lord the throwback belly laughs! But also, no surprise personally that the tonkatsu curry there gets five stars. Really, even the most standard tenderized pork cutlet smothered in a good curry sauce found in Japan I'm sure will put so many other imported versions to shame. And that's just some worldly Pomeranian logic there, folks.

FYI you can easily find House Foods brand curry at Asian markets here in the US. I'm not sure if it's the exact same recipe as what you can find at Tokyo Disneyland but I imagine it will be very similar.

It was a simple mantra when I worked at WDW in the late nineties, exceed guest expectations. Ensure every guest had an excellent experience. Those core values permeated the resort. It is clear that is still the goal in Tokyo. Food prices were more aligned with much higher quality. As a cast member making $7.80 and hour, I could afford to eat in the parks. That would not be possible today even with a cast member discount.
What does it take to get you two to review Disneyland Paris for us?! I would donate to a fundraiser for that trip for sure!!! ❤️ Thank you for taking me to a park I’ll probably never get to go to myself.
I'm doing what I said I should have done last video, commenting as I go. I've had a very busy stressful day at work today (Intel), was so excited to see a video of yours. Back to the video. Kitra, you don't need a stylist, your style is on point! Their Toon Town was amazing! I remember when you weren't a ears girls, glad you're on board now.. Love the new ears. Oh my goodness, an Up float, and Moana, Tangled, and Coco!! Toooooo freaking cute. Come on Disneyland, lets do this! I love the customized luggage tags, I want some please. Love the ending song! Oh and the whole video! Thanks for sharing!
Peter and Kitra FYI-you can buy House brand curry here in the USA at Asian markets to make curry stew, it’s SO easy to make if you make it in an Instant Pot and follow Just One Cookbooks recipe.
When they were building Tokyo Disneyland back in the 80s, the Oriental Land Company excutives basically went on a shopping trip to the American parks, picking the best attractions, and the best versions, for their park. Hence why the Haunted Mansion is like a mix of both American versions. Also, the railroad doesn't have multiple stations because Japanese regulation would dictate they have to charge a separate feet for it. To avoid that they just made it a ride with a single station.
Love, love, love it! I told my mom we need to go, and she said when we win the lottery 😂 But in all seriousness, I’m going to start putting money aside for a trip to Japan and to visit Tokyo Disney while we are there.
I think Peter is now a connoisseur of Bao buns. Did you by any chance have the Pizza-man (MAWN) at 7-eleven? I love that! If you didn't you can get it at Disney Springs at Yesake!
Corn on pizza is a big Japanese thing and I honestly love it! My favorite was the mayo corn pizza at Gusto (or Ga-su-to if you translate the Japanese phonetically) ((also it’s Japanese mayo which makes a big difference - I would not eat a pizza with American mayo 😂). Oh my god, all of the dancers’ costumes in the parade were gorgeous!! New dream job unlocked: dancer at Tokyo Disney 😂 that curry looks amazing!!! Y’all have really re-inspired my desire to go back to Japan and then save up the extra money to go to Disney. Thank you so much again for sharing your journey with us! It’s been so special. P.S. Omg the shot of the train from the boat was so gorgeous 😍😭
I love all these videos! Can Oriental Land Company just take over the US Parks!? They are so well-maintained, fun, and you can still feel the magic, which can’t be said about the ones here. Thanks for the great vlogs! ❤
I wish Disney ran the us parks like them but I also think we have to acknowledge that the Japanese crowds are just so much more polite and less destructive so maybe there’s a lot less maintenance required there

It is clear that is still the goal in Tokyo. Food prices were more aligned with much higher quality. As a cast member making $7.80 and hour, I could afford to eat in the parks. That would not be possible today even with a cast member discount.
Tokyo Disneyland definitely has that vibe
So much fun in one video. Great adventure as always 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks V!
What does it take to get you two to review Disneyland Paris for us?! I would donate to a fundraiser for that trip for sure!!! ❤️ Thank you for taking me to a park I’ll probably never get to go to myself.
We want to go there badly but might be getting to the Asian parks before then. Hopefully next year 🤞
I'm doing what I said I should have done last video, commenting as I go.
The luggage tags are such a cool gift
Loooove these Japan vlogs
Yay 😃
Peter and Kitra FYI-you can buy House brand curry here in the USA at Asian markets to make curry stew, it’s SO easy to make if you make it in an Instant Pot and follow Just One Cookbooks recipe.
We’ll have to look into that and see if it’s the same recipe
When they were building Tokyo Disneyland back in the 80s, the Oriental Land Company excutives basically went on a shopping trip to the American parks, picking the best attractions, and the best versions, for their park. Hence why the Haunted Mansion is like a mix of both American versions. Also, the railroad doesn't have multiple stations because Japanese regulation would dictate they have to charge a separate feet for it. To avoid that they just made it a ride with a single station.
Laws can be weird sometimes
I look forward to videos all the time always well done happy holidays
Happy holidays!
Love, love, love it! I told my mom we need to go, and she said when we win the lottery 😂 But in all seriousness, I’m going to start putting money aside for a trip to Japan and to visit Tokyo Disney while we are there.
You’d be surprised. With the right plane deal you can do a trip to Tokyo Disneyland for cheaper than you could do a trip to Walt Disney world.
I think Peter is now a connoisseur of Bao buns. Did you by any chance have the Pizza-man (MAWN) at 7-eleven? I love that! If you didn't you can get it at Disney Springs at Yesake!
We didn’t get the pizza one this trip but have heard it’s great so we’ll have to next time
That parade is amazing 🤯
Agreed! So good!
Thanks so much Paige
I love all these videos! Can Oriental Land Company just take over the US Parks!? They are so well-maintained, fun, and you can still feel the magic, which can’t be said about the ones here.
Thanks for the great vlogs! ❤
I wish Disney ran the us parks like them but I also think we have to acknowledge that the Japanese crowds are just so much more polite and less destructive so maybe there’s a lot less maintenance required there
@@OrdinaryAdventures that is very true too.
I love their culture so much. Your vlogs just makes me want to go that much more!
Thanks for sharing some Disney magic with me.
Our pleasure!
