You can't circle the bag because it's not long enough. Speed bag platform should've been 4 rounds stacked for solid rebound. Honestly, I would've dug a 4' hole and cemented it in the ground. I would've extended the heavy bag support at least 4' away from the post to allow for circling the bag. I would've used a piece of that 4x4 to create a 45 degree support bracket with lag bolts. The speed bag platform would've been 4 rounds thick, sealed, glued together and painted. On a side note, I like the double-end bag attachment 👍.

Lag bolts looks like 6 inch, I used 7 in lag bolts on the top for a 200 pound bag.
