russian ballet is for me, personally, the most impressive. tchaikovsky really blessed us with this! its shocking how they can stay to chill with all the people, while doing everything perfect and in sync. absolutely beautiful.
I’m 78 years old now and when I watch these dancers leaping and prancing around the stage, I can’t help feeling envious over their mobility, not that I could have ever moved like they do. Don’t get old, getting old is not for wimps. 😎
This ballet is amazing. I work in an assisted living facility and one of the residences was once a famous ballerina for a Russian ballet company. She always talks about how she misses performing so much.
My mama and I live far but when we meet we go to see this opera in Bishkek. We love it and every-time we say this is the last time we are watching it ... but eventually we always go back and check performance schedules to book our tickets. Usually ballets are in the winter time and it is perfect for the mood. I love my mama and our time. Miss her so much today, I can't wait to see this ballet again. xx
I Have LOVED Tchaikovsky for decades to watch how his work brought to life so very well. Is Amazing!. Such a terrific Orchestra and Wonderful Dancers. of course the director has found his way into the mind of the Author!!!!!!! Bravissimo!!!!

The white swan has such beautiful hands, I'm in love! Imagine the feathers on her hands, it's like those hands are wings......Oh my goodness, what a beauty! I have no words for this beauty ❤❤❤
I can't believe I sat through all of this just because I've been extra obsessed with Swan Lake this week (I've always loved Swan Lake ever since first hearing it but, this past two weeks It's been really sticky to my head) Anyways, I enjoyed this ^ ^ I really loved observing the differences between Chelpanova Olga's performance between the White Swan and The Black Swan. I also find the evil Baron's expressions of evil delight and his whole antagonistic aura entertaining! I loved the Jester's fun persona, the Queen's elegance and everything else! Everything was in character and honestly I enjoyed this more than I expected! 👏👏💐
I recently saw Swan Lake here in Cork,Ireland at the Opera House.....had no idea there was so much fantastic music to it,especially Dance of the Sygnets and also Dance of the Swans. Tchaikovsky was a genius
Chelpanova Olga is a very strong skilled dancer, also very good at playing the role of both swans. I do not think that I have seen a dancer that is a strong in her balance, extensions, turns and her transitions are so clean!
This has to be the single most important record of a thing, that I have ever seen on TH-cam. Bravo pour la ballerina, and all the people who made this performance, indelible for all time. What an inheritance that is for the world!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤

@@moon_0207 alright, then here's your answer: it's a Song by the composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, he composed the entire Swan Lake ballet. As for the name, most of these are called after the variation of the ballet that they are a part of. This one specifically is the famous Black Swan.
He stole the show for me lol I was giggling one second and I was in awe of him the next. The way he struck some of those poses and covering the swan queen with his wings looked cool as f**k
An incredible performance and production of The Swann Ballet! So happy to see it updated and performed again! Thank you for bringing the ballet to us You Tube! We need this sun our lives! This was a superb production in every way and Chelpanova Olga is as fine a dancer/actress as any of the leading dancers in the world ! I actually thought she was Svetlana Zakharova to begin with and I'm not sure I can pay her a greater compliment than that ! Congratulations to EVERYONE and we can't wait for you to be back in Newcastle once the theatres open again !

A marvellous spectacular vision to see Ballet perform one of my favourite composer's music. Great childhood memories hearing it and still now. I love Rock music but Classical will always stay close to heart.
For me, this was brilliant dancing. A real shame the toe-blocks were so very intrusive. Very convincing and skilled Siegfried, Rothbart, and Odette/Odile throughout. Thank you for this wonderful performance
Tchaikovsky's training set him on a path to reconcile what he had learned with the native musical practices to which he had been exposed from childhood. From that reconciliation, he forged a personal but unmistakably Russian style. The principles that governed melody, harmony and other fundamentals of Russian music ran completely counter to those that governed Western European music, which seemed to defeat the potential for using Russian music in large-scale Western composition or for forming a composite style, and it caused personal antipathies that dented Tchaikovsky's self-confidence. Russian culture exhibited a split personality, with its native and adopted elements having drifted apart increasingly since the time of Peter the Great. That resulted in uncertainty among the intelligentsia about the country's national identity, an ambiguity mirrored in Tchaikovsky's career.
Ciao, sono luigi. Non ho parole. le danze armoniche bellissime ,ed ESTETICHE coinvolgono l'Anima nelle più profonde radici che fanno ricordare da dove veniamo. According to Wiley, Tchaikovsky was a pioneer in several ways. "Thanks in large part to Nadezhda von Meck", Wiley writes, "he became the first full-time professional Russian composer". This, Wiley adds, allowed him the time and freedom to consolidate the Western compositional practices he had learned at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory with Russian folk song and other native musical elements to fulfill his own expressive goals and forge an original, deeply personal style. He made an impact in not only absolute works such as the symphony but also program music and, as Wiley phrases it, "transformed Liszt's and Berlioz's achievements ... into matters of Shakespearean elevation and psychological import". Wiley and Holden both note that Tchaikovsky did all this without a native school of composition upon which to fall back. They point out that only Glinka had preceded him in combining Russian and Western practices and his teachers in Saint Petersburg had been thoroughly Germanic in their musical outlook. He was, they write, for all intents and purposes alone in his artistic quest.
