    Thanks for the video. Some were thinking my car should be much louder, but it's close to what's demonstrated in your clips.

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah it usually takes a different turbo to make the sound much louder.
      Open pod filter intake also helps

      @@JacksonStrain I have the aem closed intake. Bigger turbo maybe someday. 😄

    Interesting video cheers I have the evo x sst in nz my OEM bov is very loud all I did was purchased a 32mm blanking plug and have it vent to atmosphere have done 2000 odd kms like this no check engine light no loss of performance at all and running a factory intake and k&n panel filter enjoying your videos

      Thanks mate i appreciate it, yeah I used to have my OEM bov blocked off and it made a lot of flutter sounds but my tuner wasn't a fan so I fitted the turbosmart one instead.

      Be careful with VTA BOVs. Our SST boxes are very funny about them, along with everything else. I personally don't see why a different BOV affects the SST as the valve is after the MAF sensor but nevertheless, VTAs need tuning after installing if you haven't done so already.

    Would you be willing to show alittle bit more detail as to how you cleaned up the wiring harness to make it so neat and tidy without the plastic cover?

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate, yeah I actually made a video on how to do this but it does require an extension adaptor unless you want to extend the wire yourself.

    Good video! i have a gfb mach 2 in my ralliart screwed all the way down, low rpm gives me a full flutter, higher rpm shifts gives three stutu's and a loud clunk

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man, yeah they are definitely a nice one to run, apparently hold boost at higher levels than the turbosmart too I've heard.

    • @Jake-tl6hj
      @Jake-tl6hj 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jackson Strain just a quick Q, how much boost? I plan on running 20 psi lol

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jake-tl6hj I'm running 27psi on my Evo, i think most people tune the Ralliart turbo and go for 24psi

      No he doesn't and he's since sold the car and then owned a white Ralliart sedan that I did a feature video on if you wanted to check it out.

    Hey man. Idk what its called but that thing to the left in your engine that holds some sort of liquid. In previous videos it was a yellow color but now is black with a blue lid. That looks dope. Where did you get it?

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate that's the power steering reservoir and I painted it black to change the look up a bit

    is it safe to have the OEM Evo X BOF installed backwards and ride it daily?

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not great for the turbo I've heard

  • @NhHalmet
    @NhHalmet 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    If I run full VTA will it effect my tune or drivability? Had my ralliart tuned with the bov in full recirc, but not getting too much sound out of it.

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's apparently bad for the SST so I wouldn't recommend it personally

    • @NhHalmet
      @NhHalmet 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh okay, what do you run to get more sound? Have a turbosmart atm and is fairly quite

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NhHalmet yeah an intake is what will make the bov louder so if you can get a different intake you'll hear it a lot better

  • @trixstar
    @trixstar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    so, stock ralliart + BOV makes it flutter?

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A high flow panel filter and turbosmart kompact BOV will make it flutter I don't think it will be very loud but it will make the sound.
      Basically the BOV is what makes the flutter sound but the intake is what makes it either loud or quiet

    what intake are you running?

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey mate it's kind of a Frankenstein intake to be honest. So I have a stainless intake pipe from ebay, which goes it an AEM maf housing and then to a K&N filter which is then protected by an Evolution X Design Intake Heatshield.

    terrible video run them rpms up so we can hear doing it once wont hurt the car.
    why even make a video if your not going to do it properly,

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's one of my early videos before I had bought some external microphones and it didn't go to plan obviously.
      And while you can hear the difference in sound it didn't work as well as my more recent videos where I actually place a mic in the engine bay.
      Feel free to check those out and you'll hear things much better
