I mean they could have done another challenge among the blue team to see who actually needed to leave. This is all because of this stupid person who stole the beef.. And the chef didnt even took action.. Unfair all the way.
There should have been a sanction for the other team stealing the beef. The blue team might have won if they had a few more plates of beef served, which would mean the red team would have had less dishes served, therefore reducing their earnings.
I disagree purely as it served as a learning experience for them all. You are right in that they "could" have won, but they lost their beef and lost the challenge, so learn from that.
@@rossomac21 right, because it is perfectly normal to have to constantly guard your beef in a kitchen because someone can steal it from your station. Absolutely normal and should be expected, huh?

aahh economics game theory comes to mind.. if just one of them decided to vote for someone else, they'd be sure to be safe - with all others voting for themselves.. and everyone would be thinking the same thing in their self-interest so.. it wouldn't work.. If this were a REALLY competitive team, you'd see more votes for Sam as he could be a threat later - the strongest player and everything. But that would reveal what jerks they all were so they didn't do it :P .. this was a stupid way of elimination in this light-hearted kind of show.
This is peak reality TV, from the titles to that painfully drawn out voting sequence, to the house dynamics! Unbelievable that MasterChef went through this phase!
"I don't have the skills and knowledge of the other contestants but I have the passion....I'm not a good chef, but I'm a good cook". Not really the words of a master chef. If you don't have skills to match passion then passion is worthless. And if you admit to being a cook not a chef the begs the question why you think you should be in a master chef competition.
You know your COOKING show has very little going for it when you spend a whole episode (twenty plus minutes) eliminating a contestant without a morsel in sight. Just a maudlin collection of soap opera type heart string pulling. Those of us who follow the other national versions of Masterchef will immediately see the difference. Yawn.
I hate it when people get ''strategic'' in voting. It makes the winner completely pointless because the best chefs get voted out rather then the worst. I have 0 interest in watching people trying to earn the title master manipulater. I'm watching master CHEF. So cook food, and be judged for that. No other drama's please. the moment a great chef gets voted off for ''strategic'' reasons is the moment I stop watching.
I think people are failing to grasp why the judges didn't care that the beef was stolen. It served as a learning experience for people to be careful and alert (or it can potentially cost you big)
I think the judges failed to see the possible consequences of this judgement. Not penalizing theft (even if it serves to prove an idiotic lesson), could have set a precedent of sabotage for other challenges. Other than that, the lesson itself makes no sense to me. Being careful and alert is important in a kitchen, though you won't get far in a professional kitchen by nicking produce.
so you mean the judges wanted them all to get all paranoid in the kitchen all the time? Sounds like healthy work environment. Weird that the blue team didnt start stealing in every challenge after that. I mean, no consequences so why not?
Melissa really annoyed me. Those crocodile tears at 6:15 were cringe af for a grown woman. She was obviously the weakest cook in the team but still acted like a victim and tried to gain sympathy when no one forced her to quit her job for the competition. It was odd of her to vote for Nic when she begged him to not vote for her.
I sure hope there was some lesbian love story behind that last section of the show. But, I totally understand to keep things under wraps and not explicit.
This is a horrendous way to eliminate someone. Very unfair to expect them to do this and they should have all put blank paper on the spikes as mutiny. The judges should have observed and made the decision themselves.
I find it truly stupid that the team must decide who is the weakest one and who should go home I also find the 3 Chef's here so lazy that they're barely around lmao, masterchef us for the win!
With or without MasterChef and with or without winning, these people are going to make it to their dreams one day. Winning competitions does not make anyone a winner in life. Mostly it's the losers who succeed well. This is so wrong of this competition to have such open voting system and not enough they have done well in terms of cooking and still lost the team challenge, now they are punished sort of by emotional hardship to vote for elimination of a fellow team player. So so cruel. They could have had this anonymous. One day these people go out to the world and it's not good to them or their career. I am totally against this and hate this season one for this
I'm genuinely (and kindly) wondering if TV habits and tastes are that much different in Australia compared to the US, Canada, UK, France... Because I find this show so much different than the others. First, the level of competition is literally amateurish. It's so not on par with the countries I named. Second, it feels like reality TV more than a cooking competition with no elimination up to episode 10, then putting people in this position. Do people in Australia like that kind of Love Island whatever vibe? Is it about cooking or about drama. The Tom guy who stole the beef, literally lied about it on camera, still won, then asking everyone to turn on each other, WTF? In other Masterchef shows, the advantage or pitting people against each other is almost always done in a playful "game" way, but here it really felt heavy and guttery. Just my opinion.
Morbid Girl I know that it’s an old season, how could I not? Doesn’t change anything at all about my opinion. I’ve watched what I could find up to the last 2 which were indeed much better.
