2022 UCLA Global Conversation "Global Challenges, Local Responses"

In cooperation with the Los Angeles Consular Corps Executive Committee, the UCLA International Institute is pleased to host the annual UCLA Global Conversation as part of International Education Week. This year's event will feature remarks from UCLA Chancellor Gene Block on "Global Challenges, Local Responses," and a moderated panel discussion among four consuls general who will address the topic from the perspectives of their respective countries.
This year’s event featured remarks by Chancellor Gene Block on “Global Challenges, Local Responses” to be followed by a panel discussion with four LA-based Consuls General including the Consul General of Australia Jane Duke, the Consul General of Egypt Ahmed Shaheen, the Consul General of France Julie Duhaut-Bedos, and the Consul General of Mexico Marcela Celorio.
