radiant reds and rose reds have long pole and 3.5mm travel, which gets rid of north facing interference. I had some lavender purples that had the same long pole stem, but 4mm travel, it had north facing interference
Akko's all the way. Plus the cheaper gat switches have this issue where the leaf will pop out when putting them into the hotswap sockets, then the switches wont register. It's really frustrating.
This is super cool. I think this is a great way for us to look at whats best for the buck. I have used the Gateron Red's in the past and have lubbed them but they aren't that great for my use. I actually went from using Gateron Milky Yellows to Gazzew U4T Boba Switches 62G Tactlies in the past six months and haven't looked back. There's some perks into the weight and of course the way you either choose to lube and flim them is up to you.
This sort of budget is exactly why I'm here! Just got a few kits from CIY that included Gat switches, some Akko radiant reds and feker pandas. If it weren't for you I think I would've stayed looking bleary eyed at keyboards, instead I've spent 250 and have 3 to tinker with
People might call me a mad lad, but I use Gateron Reds on a Tofu60. I lubed, filmed, and Spring swapped the Gateron Reds, feels great to game and type.
If you like the feel and sound of Gat milky yellow, don't get these. They are very light and sound "high pitch" and louder I guess. I'm trying to exchange for the matcha green or the radiant red.
i love this series. thank you lewis. :) ALSO you do a really good job showcasing the quirks and qualities of the switches so i can be confident forming opinions about them. thanks again.
I just wanted to say that with some "fake" cherry profile keycaps, north facing LEDs may cause interference. I have Akko Radiant Reds and AliExpress "cherry" profile keycaps and there is interference.
Maybe for another episode of Odd Switch you could compare KTT Mint Linears and Dinokeys Mint Linears? Vastly Different switches at very different price points, yet look and are themed identically.
but is there any point to buying regular gateron reds when gateron pro reds exist? They are an improvement over the regular ones and I don't think there is much difference in the price.

I know they're good, but could you give me an example of another swith that's about as good as a g pro yellow or a switch that I can compare to the g pro yellow. Thanks I advance!
I have both and can say you can’t go wrong with either! The banana splits are gonna be a bit higher pitched and the spring feels just a touch lighter, while the alpacas are smoother when lubed. I switch between boards with the two switches.

They never tell you the materials because 1$ switches are made exactly of the same material 0.13$ switches. If they tell you they are the same, why would you pay 10 times more?
Saying the Akko is 0.22$ a piece is technically true. But remember that Akko makes us buy them by 90. When they fully know that the majority of us won't be using more than 70. 20$/70 = 0.28$. Still cheap, but not *that* cheap.

i'll look into it

nice!
BUEN VIDEO PERO ME COSTO MUCHO ENTENDERLO creo que los rosa son mejores...GOOD VIDEO BUT IT TOOK ME A LOT TO UNDERSTAND I think pink ones are better
another week another video, i love these switch comparison videos you've been doing keep up the good work
baaanger !! been loving akko's switch line up cause of the quality for the price

@@ustav_o Yeah they sound amazing especially when Lubed
try some sp-star switches, I wanna know how you feel about them
Oh that's really nice, thanks for making this video
Can you try jwick yellows/blacks or gateron yellow PROs.
Feels weird when you learn Lewis is younger than you, lmao
Was abt to get rose reds but damn they are light, can’t use them in normal typing
The Gateron reds sound so clean after being lubed, or am I just used to bad keyboards? idk
The Akko CS Rose Reds sound a bit more high pitch...
I think JWK Blacks v1 is actually the best budget switch. Sounds great, and feels smooth.
Jwick yellows >:(
What about the Akko cs jelly white vs akko cs vintage white
THOSE ARE KINDA THE SAME THING
Nah the box design so maybe different sound
I just bought the jelly blacks and didn't really like them so I'm thinking to buy the rose reds, this is exactly what I need thank youuu :)

skadis on ikea!
what keycaps did you use
Please try the akko cs jelly switches 😍
I would like to see gateron pro silver and akko cs silver, there almost similar but different manufacturers ig
Can you PLEASE do a budget comparison between the ajazz banana switches and the akko starfish switches
Gateron 3 pins yellow vs the cap version full yellow or the pro version
when should i buy these things
Could you compare the Akko cs switches? I’m finding out if the radiant reds are better than vintage whites.
hmm
Radiant reds has heavier spring so less ping
But other wise the linears are practically the same aside from spring weight obviously
can you do matcha greens vs gateron yellows?
can help me build cheap n good 75% or 60% KB? what will be you suggestions on buying
you should review gateron keyfirst creams. smoother clackier gateron yellow. they have the same stem tho.
How about akko jelly pinks vs the box pinks. kind of like the jelly blacks and ink blacks one you did
Same thing. Jelly pinks and box pinks are just a recolor or the blacks in that video with different spring weights
o ok ty
Thanks for this sir i hope you can review also the ajazz diced fruit switches(kiwi, banana and peach)
Lewis toh can you please review the leaven k620 and mod it the keyboard can be found on shoppee please do a review on it
Definitely would go for akko cs rose reds, those are in the top budget switches.
Rose reds or radiant reds I'm using it for gamings and typing I want the switches to be smooth and thocky but no too hard to press for games
Rose reds are lighter so it will be less fatiguing to use but if you are a heavy typer, your enemy might be accidental keypresses
You did kinda stray away from the theme of the series, but this is honestly a more helpful vid than the others :) Good job lewis
