I really like the neatness of the central envelope hiding the stitching Cheryl. Being a plain kinda girl I struggle with all the danglies and stuff so this is great for me. Thanks for sharing....again.
I also love this, I will be bookmarking these for future reference so when I do mine I can check with the expert. Thank you ever so much for taking time to do these videos and teaching this old dog new tricks. Thanks D.
I have wanted to start the junk journals and I think you will be an excellent teacher. Have a craft show to do in October and then I will be going forward with this. Your videos are really inspiring. Thanks
so glad I watched this video....I really like the idea of hiding the center stitching in an unglued pocket and then gluing it later like you did......and how your stager your large and smaller pages and then add the dollies etc....you've answered questions Ive had about how exactly to do this procedure.....thanks again! .....ok...now...do you have a video about how to do the spine if your putting in two are more signigures?
+orlaina777 Not specifically, but the principal is the same. If you want to add say 3 signatures, you would still use the graph paper. Find the center of the spine, add your holes. Then you would mark your holes to the right and left of the center leaving the same amount of space on either side of the enter. Sew in your signature exactly as I showed in the video, just repeat what you did 2 more times.
Hi Cheryl...I am finally getting the nerve to sew my signatures into my FIRST journal. I have four signatures. Do I do each one separate or connect them some how. I'm not sure this is going to be my favorite part of making a journal...lol! Poking the holes in my finished work was gruesome!
+Carol Ann You do them separate. tie each one off in the center. You can either leave the string showing or cover it over with an envelope like I do, or a side pocket
hello, Cheryl, I have a question....I have been thinking of including an actual cloth doily into one of my books, as, maybe, a "cover" to each signature of pages.....have you ever sewn a cloth doily into a book? and any thoughts you might have on this idea?? Bev
How many pages does your journal have? Ive seen some doing multiple signatures but there doesn't seem to be a standard # of pages per signature. Can you put as many pages as you want?
Really depends on how wide you want your journal to be. With a single signature book, I usually use 10 printed and 10 tea stained. With multiple, I do about the same, but get all the signatures together and embellished, then measure them stacked to decide how wide the spine should be. Hope that helps.
I appreciate you sharing your talents and l absolutely adore the book, every single page! Thank you so much and keep inspiring!!
Thank you so much Cathryn

Thank you so much. Was so good to watch you actually doing it. You are so generous with your knowledge. Thanks again.
You are more than welcome

Sorry but I don't remember which closure I did for this journal. It was a long time ago.

I haven't, but I don't see why you couldn't. I would probably machine stitch it to a page first though
Thanks for a great tutorial. I have to poke my tongue out too when I'm concentrating so I got a giggle out of you saying about you doing it!
Thanks for watching Marion
What do you use to cut designs on page corners?
Jeanne Corsby-Hale mostly Martha Stewart
Thank you!

Hmmm....you made it look too easy! I can see myself having a nervous breakdown!
Haha, just start small
