I’ve been watching a couple of reviews on middle eastern perfumes because I’m trying to branch out in my perfume selection, I heard someone else talking about this perfume and Al haramian amber oud rouge, so now I’m just trying to decide which I’ll get. Im a little put off by this perfume because when you look at the note profile on fragrantica, it lists this perfume as animalistic, woody, leather, tobacco. Which are all scents I enjoy, but I still want that sweetness that people talk about with baccarat. You spoke a lot about that, which I was happy to hear, I think I’ll give orientica a try.
My dad gave this perfume to my mom for her bday and I remember I tried it and the whole day people were complimenting how I smelled so I had to get mine. Its hard for me to explain how a perfume smells but it’s those types of perfumes that lingers even after you shower
Too Sweet, I’d get diabetes just from the scent. As for clones discontinued fragrances are the way forward even improving them. Have a very happy New Year Ben.👍
My best find to date is penhaligons the tragedy of lord george! It is very sad that after all the niche decants I have gotten, that I have only found it now. I know the price sucks, but wow!

I say for the price I’ll allow it. I use Dapper Fragrances to get “clones” of current and retired fragrances. They never disappoint me
I don’t like the BR540 reference in every review. I think because most people’s introduction to saffron is with BR540, so whenever they smell that note they automatically think everything is a BR540 clone.
I blind bought this fragrance from a trusted site after seeing quite a number of good reviews. But I don't smell anything other than a metallic scent, none of the sweetness, or amber. Does anyone has same experience?
If you buy clones then why not try any of them and not just clones of discontinued compositions? Big houses like Chanel, Dior and the rest uses cheaper ingredients after original batch formulations then hire artists that are paid ten times less then the original artist to recreate them with those cheaper ingredients. People sit there dumbfounded and angry when they purchase a fragrance that doesnt smell like it did before. It doesnt perform the same way and it doesnt smell as complete as it used to. This vanity that urges people to buy crap from expensive places just to say "I dont buy cheaper copies of things" is nonsense when you consider that most of those houses already copy compositions frequently from each other. Ariani Grande's cloud was launched less then 3 years after 540. The truth is everyone is scared of top clone houses because their chemists are very good and they dont rip off customers.
I haven’t smell a clone that is 100% like the original but I’m with you. Fragrances should be cheaper. I stopped buying stuff that costs over $80 and I may start going lower.
@@ScentitarFragrance It strikes me as very odd that someone can justify buying a clone just because it has a different bottle but if it says Dua or Alexandria on it then youre riff raff for wearing it. Many of these companies arent regulated by IFRA at all and they use extremely questionable ingredients that the buyer knows nothing about. What about this brand your reviewing says that theyre made safely? Ill trust the chemists over there at Dua and Alexandria because I know who they are and I have experience with a LOT of their products now. Its not a big deal to copy Baccarat Rouge, Samy Andraus has Red Sapphire for $25.
100% agree with you on this, so many niche and designer fragrances have been reformulated. MFK has been reformulated, baccarat extrait is MUCH weaker & tons of people on fragrance forums have noticed. I don’t agree with you about the ingredients, most middle eastern fragrances have pretty good ingredients & a lot of countries have stricter regulations than the US.! I prefer middle eastern fragrances and oils over most dupe houses, they usually are spot on with their dupes and they are always very strong. I wasn’t crazy about dua at all
