    10- self care,
    9- prioritise your health,
    8- cultivate social circle,
    7- maintain strong boundaries,
    6- embrace your feminine side,
    5- make a bucket list,
    4- embrace your unique quirks,
    3- build this life for you (not juste to attract men),
    2- raise your self esteem (my favorite so far ❤),
    1- take responsibility.
    Merciii Mark :)
    Greetings from Morocco

    I like this concept the most // making ur life better rather than trying to make people like u temporarily

    • @Markrosenfeld
      @Markrosenfeld  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Alissa Mitchell it's so so important! I make sure I'm working with all my clients on consistent/permanent change in themselves (change they love) so that the confidence they build and results they get are permanent. Yes it's harder with more struggle, but it leads to permanent increases in self esteem that a simple
      Trick simply can't achieve

    You are so good in all aspects of just living a good life--not just dating. I applaud you as a person, such common sense and just thoughtful advice. I love this video! I recently got out of a 9 year toxic relationship with way more downs than ups. I lost myself in this time but I also became a mother. I realized that I was setting a really poor example for my 4 year old daughter. So I lost the extra weight that bothered me, I graduated with my RN degree and kicked out that toxic man. Now I am trying to rediscover what I want with my life. Finding a new partner is a small part of it. I absolutely love your videos. I have been watching them after my daughter goes to bed and really enjoying them. All your videos on toxic relationships/men and narcissistic men hit the nail right on the head. My ex was all of those things...so beware ladies and avoid them, they suck you in like a black hole. Thank you Mark for making these wonderful videos!!

    Again, creative and empowering advice that specifically focuses on developing the individual as a means to cultivating one's life or relationships. The messages of our modern society emphasize externals...appearance, money, influence as the mechanisms of attaining what you want. Kudos to you Mark...you are a true advocate for women in such risky areas of their lives, where they are often met with violence or abuse...intimate relationships. Thank you for teaching women how to best navigate this emotional terrain!

      You are very welcome. Wonderful message, always bringing the focus back to the individual.. a powerful way to course-correct when one is feeling powerless, frustrated or unfulfilled in relationships...turn the focus inward, which organically helps one to detach from unhealthy patterns or dependencies and re-examine. Great work, thanks for sharing with us!

    I’ve been watching your videos now for a while and i feel like your name ‘Make him yours’ sells you/your brand short! In your videos, you talk about so much more; about how to become a powerful woman and human being. I have learned a lot from you, and yes it mainly focusses on my love life, however I feel like the topics you talk about are so much broader applicable! I would rename your brand: Empower yourself. 😘 just a compliment I wanted to pass on!

    Out of all the dating/self improvement videos that pops in my feed, this may just be the most realistic, positive and authentic message for women that Ive come across. So in line with what I personally believe as a christian and as someone embracing feminity as my worldview. That women striving to become their bestest, most authentic and most positive version of themselves and with all their relationships.
    Thank you for your message.

    Hi Mark, this is the first youtube video that makes me cry. I have not been doing any of those 10 things for many years because of depression and my BF is fed up with it, because he was then being put into carer role instead of BF role and he is absolutely exhausted and numb.
    We are on a break for a month now (I also watched your videos about giving space) and I am afraid that in the end, he'd want to break up for good. Rewatching your videos about giving space helps a lot to calm me down and giving me things to do.
    I just wished I found your vids, tutorials and writings before I even met my BF.

    As much as I have loved your advice so far, this is the strongest video to date. Very thought-provoking and honest. At times when we're working on conquering our challenges, it will be a great reminder to stay on the right path. The only thing that I'd add to this is the importance of practicing effective communication, verbal and non-verbal. Having gone through a few relationships that have suffered from lacking communication and poor listening, I realized it's a crucial skill in love, work and life in general.
    Thanks so much for your awesome work xo

    Great Mark.
    I especially related to number five. During an ugly divorce I started what I called a first list instead of bucket list. Mostly just small things I had never done such as going to a comedy club and things like that. It was a great way to get out with friends and put the nastiness aside for awhile. In a short time I was able to strike several things off of the list and also work on what has become great friendships. After a stroke back in 2013, I have some disabilities that are probably a little scary for potential men in my life but I'm still working on it and myself.

  • @mssummerrose1
    @mssummerrose1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'd rather define responsibility not as the circumstances have no influence on your situation at all, like you can be whoever and do whatever you want, but rather that within that given situation I can still be "able to respond" about what I'm going to do about it... b/c to make it appear as if circumstances are kind of nothing is kind of condescending about what ppl have had to endure... we don't know and we don't stick in their skin...
    But again: great video, Mark, thanks for putting everything together in a very positive way to give us women guidelines :)...

    Mark, I like your warm energy and thoughts, specially the little scenes in your videos. We all learn more through model than theory I believe. Big thanx for your effort!
    I watched few videos and I couldnt find an answer to this question:
    - As you say its not necessary to get angry when it comes to boundaries. In my case Im spirit and I can get angry if I see disrespect or other negative behavior. Of course it depends on the situation, but how can I express my personality in a genuine way? Im not perfect and I also want to be accepted in all my "collors". I often hear that to act from love aboundance is better, but at the same time I dont want to hide or suppress my feelings. And by the way many people take the being nice as a weekness. How to find a good balance (in relationsships)?

    • @Markrosenfeld
      @Markrosenfeld  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muska good question. Feelings are generated by thoughts, so if you are looking to get a better handle on your emotion, what it's really about is getting a better handle on your thoughts.

    I absolutely love your #1 way to be more attractive! Nothing bugs me more than a victim mentality...and it's been an epidemic in America for a while now. Nothing hinders you more than thinking you can blame others for where you are in life....and no one really wants to be around that kind of pessimism and weakness.

    I really appreicate your no.1 point, it's very true and important. I don't think ppl recognize what a relationship is, as in codependamce, independence and interdependence, as a techie I find it's important to understand the structure of a healthy relation.

    I am sure the women out there just love this guy. And I as a man do too. I have a man. 100% man. All man. And yes we have had issues. I was with my partner for 20 years. Now with this new partner if you may is totally different. We have been on and off for 2 years and just spilt 2 months ago. He can’t stop and i can’t either. So watching these video’s gives me points to work on in our relationship too. Maybe one day we will get back together. We both realize it takes 2 to fuss and argue. And we really want to work on the relationship and make it work. And I am learning more and more from these video’s.

    Mark - thank you so much for this channel, it's really helped me in dating, and just in general my overall confidence building. I've found myself in a place where I'm much happier and I'm dating multiple people and you're right, it really works. But what happens when I'm dating a few different guys, and I finally decide on one I want to commit to, how should I tell the other men I'm dating that I'm exclusive to someone else without coming off rude and remain high value?

      Hey Kiki - great question. Thanks for supporting my channel the way you have :) Yep, it's not easy but it has to be done - ideally in person but atleast over the phone.

    I lack so many things but one thing I’m embarrassed to reveal to any guy I would date is that I have no friends. I’m ashamed of many other things in my life but this one is the most humiliating . I’m afraid it’s going to scare him away if none of the other things don’t .

    Good point about quiet enforcement of boundaries, but how would you address if someone then considers that "passive aggressive"?

    Hey, Mark! First of all, I want to thank you for all the support and help you give to women, you do great. But, I have a question.. most of the time you speak of how to attract the right guy without playing silly games, so therefore, what about when you already have him? When you're both in love, you give yourself fully to each other.. how do you know when it is too much? Is there a limit into the support you can offer him or yourself? How to avoid being too clingy... etc.

    • @Markrosenfeld
      @Markrosenfeld  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question Prob! I'm excited to do many more videos on this, but absolutely, anything can go too far, including support BF/benefits etc... Healthy space leaves room for attraction and if you give up doing all the great things that attracted him in the first place, he's eventually likely to tire.
      Here's a video on this...

      (more on this topic to come)
      Another by one of my all time faaaaaavourite speakers...
      www.ted.com/talks/esther_perel_the_secret_to_desire_in_a_long_term_relationship
      And interestingly, here is one that's also useful that might surprise you.
      th-cam.com/video/HwTRQa9n1Bw/w-d-xo.html
      When you're getting this right, your man doesn't have to go away to have a chance to miss you. It will happen most days and weeks as a normal part of the ebb and flow of your relationship.

    I have a question Mark... I am pretty well stuck in a loooooong term relationship because we have so many children together, but every time I try to take care of myself and put my needs first, he either sighs, eyerolls, or criticises me and my choices. I work so hard on improving myself every day, even with such little support. Why do you think he acts like this? I think he cares for me, when I'm so close to the situation, I find it difficult to discern whether this is love or simply co_dependency. A video idea perhaps? 🙋 Thanks Mark... Fellow Aussie, feeling super proud of your work here! 👌💜
