You could make an argument for attempted murder with bricking up an entryway to a space with a resident when there are no other known exits and no obvious sources of ventilation since the brick and mortar could create an air tight seal that leads to suffocation.
I am realizing how that many of these criminals would have been much better off if they had just surrendered to the Meddling kids when they first started investigating.
I would also argue that the Tar Monster would face charges for damage/misuse of an archaeological site, as well as using his position on the excavation team to commit theft of artifacts, and would probably face an inquest from UNESCO and the Turkish Committee on Conservation of Cultural Assets. Also, the Viking ghosts would probably face similar charges if that's an actual Viking burial ground they're using for their operation. In addition to that, they would also face charges for health and safety violations in regards to the uranium mining, to say nothing of the fact that they were running a uranium mining operation on what I would assume is federal land (which, while not necessarily illegal, requires them to make a claim and obtain a mining license and a permit, as well as to follow safe mining regulations).

they technically do have the "scooby-doo detective agency", in the new scooby and scrappy-doo show and also whatever the kids call the gang in a pup named scooby-doo
The Scooby gangs crimes: multiple counts of breaking and entering, multiple counts of bodily harm (Fred's traps) and multiple counts of interfering with police investigations( they are still in highschool so they don't have a private investigators license) shaggy and Scooby get multiple theft charges for stealing food.
it should be mentioned that all of these are maximum sentences. plea deals, admissions of guilt, and legal fiddling means many of them would be out much earlier on parol, good behavior, or even judicial leniency. heck in some parts of the country they may not go to jail at all

If I have it figured right, in the 5 available Scooby Doo villain videos, considering the apparent ages of the perpetrators, a whopping 95 of these criminals spent the rest of their lives in prison. The only four I question, because of the fact they were not adult themselves, were the two pairs of children in What's New Scooby Doo. The wrestler's kids and the pro race driver's kids were likely not anymore than 10 years old, so getting that stiff a sentence as if 16+ seemed unrealistic. Juvie to 18 and years (decades?) of counseling, seemed more likely. Otherwise, well researched!
In my country, children under age 12 are not criminally culpable -- they cannot be charged with a crime, much less sentenced. Juvenile offenders _can_ receive an adult sentence, but it is extremely rare and it is limited to very serious crimes like murder.
With how often monsters, ghosts and legendary figures are used as disguises for criminals in the Scoobyvers you’d think there’d be laws about it. Criminal use of spooky costumes (each costume is it’s own offense). Impersonating the dead. Impersonating a religious figure (it happens enough and is seriously messed up and serious effective and should be a thing irl). Use of legend for nefarious purposes. Falsifying paranormal evidence. Framing cryptids. Fraudulent use of fear/paranormal activity/specific effects. Anyone else think of something else that would make sense? There’s so many “guy in mask” crimes that there should be laws to dieter it. The masks and use of legends creates a nice cover and distraction to throw off police. So giving it a harsher punishment would scare some criminals away from it and make them easier to capture.
I do feel like some of them could get reckless endangerment charge. Like in episode one, because of being on a barely constructed building and high up. If they fell the gang or worker could die putting their life in danger which I'm pretty sure court would at least count as reckless endangerment
Shouldn't the 10000 voltage man also be charged for attempted bodily harm since his suit is always active while chasing people away and could gravely injure someone?
that's definitely a possibility, i pretty much just left it as assault when he made contact (it was a little hard to tell if he could switch the effect on to melt things or if it was constant)
Here's some of my Ace Decade is Butch Cassidy and Alex Super's father head canon: As we see in his episode, Ace is flat out willing to betray his own family members, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch for him to cheat, which would lead to both Butch's mom and Alex's mom finding out and Butch's mom divorcing Ace. He'd have to pay child support, which could also explain why in the Diabolic Disk Demon he was so desperate to sell the stolen records. Perhaps Mr. Decade found out about Ace's affairs and wouldn't allow him into a higher position, and that could be another reason? Ace was not a very good father to Butch and Alex, being absent most of the time and emotionally distant the rest of the time, often being chewed out by Butch and Alex's mothers as a result. Ace used his power and fortune to have Butch sent to a boarding school where he was bullied due to sharing the same name as the infamous Western outlaw, but the school wasn't COMPLETELY bad, as Butch was able to meet Wally, Steffy, and Merilee. Alex on the other hand, was able to go to a regular school and meet Ray, Deek, and Lila, possibly meeting the Scooby gang later on? As we see, Alex and the Scooby Gang seem to already be friends. After learning of Ace's stunt as the Diabolical Disk Demon, Butch and Alex are hurt, but not surprised. However, with help from their friends, Butch and Alex are able to move on and heal.

The Scooby Doo Show is one of my favorite Scooby series [alongside Scooby Doo Where Are You, The New Scooby Doo Movies, 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo, and What's New Scooby Doo], and it has some of my all-time favorite Scooby villains. For Ace Decade, I've had this headcanon that he is the biological father of Alex Super and Butch Cassidy [from the Scooby Doo "clone" Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kids], due to their similar facial similarities [and he and Alex do both wear glasses and Ace also has dark hair like Butch has]. However, both Butch and Alex have different mothers due to Ace being a cheater [I mean, given the fact that he was willing to betray his own uncle, wouldn't be much of a stretch to say he'd betray anyone and everyone he meets]. Needless to say, both Butch and Alex wouldn't like talking about him for obvious reasons. I have more to this headcanon, but that's for another post/comment.
@@ripdalt It honestly works really well and adds a layer of tragedy to both Alex and Butch's characters. On a related note, I really wish that Alex had been used more as I really like his design and personality and he and his group could've helped Mystery Inc more. On a different note, the Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kids villains, while not as intense as Mystery Incorporated villains, are still very dark and they've committed a TON of crimes that make most pre-Mystery Inc Scooby Villains look tame by comparison. If you ever cover villains from the Scooby Doo "clones", I'd highly recommend starting out with Butch Cassidy due to the sheer amount of crazy stuff the villains do.

@@ripdalt Thank you! (So it seems this set of episodes is something of a vagabond in terms of distribution). Found your video for Scooby Doo Where Are You!, and it was great :)

Really wish you'd list the minimum sentence on these too for context. The chances of them hitting these maximum sentences aren't high, and some charges could be argued against. Though I understand why that might be a bit much given you're already looking into where the crimes were committed, with various national, state, county, city and sometimes TRIBAL laws in play plus perhaps looking at the air date of the episode and going by what the law was back in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

When you mentioned the cases that would have people take blame for crimes, you forgot any sentencing for incrimination as framing a person is a crime
that's a good point
I have more to this headcanon, but that's for another post/comment.
oooooh that's an interesting one, i can definitely see it!
18:20 wasn’t the weapon thrown just to prove something rather than to harm Jimmy?
even still that's dangerous! get him
Damging powerlines is a federal offence so more time is probably added there for the 1000 watt ghost
i actually didn't know that, nice!
I'd press charges of assault and attempted murder against the backwards people of Salem Massachusetts, to say nothing of animal cruelty. Poor Scooby.
truuue, angry mob was out for blood
If I can about scrappy doo he may be the most disliked character . He did have paw in Velma show tossed out. Thank you, scappy doo
everyone thank scrappy for his service
Aren’t the mystery inc. Kids considered minors as well, which would include charges against minors too?
not really after the initial series (except for pup, of course)
Cattle Rustling is a death sentence.
in texas? yeah probably
@ripdalt It's actually a general rule across pretty much rural everywhere. I've had to deal with rustlers before and it's like the Feds expect you to go medieval on them.
Love these videos they're great
thank you! :)
My favorite series is back again!
there's plenty more to come as well! :)
That prison featured in "The Scooby Doo Show" Episode Season 3 Episode 7 has not seen use as a prison in years so I think Old-Iron-Face would be sent to a different prison.
that is correct
Wait. I can’t find the laughing ghost or space kook.
they're in the original series! i've already got that one covered, if you wanna see them :)
@ awesome!
What series are you using? I’m familiar with 1969-1976 Scooby Doo, where are you! And this seems to be different but animated in the same style
this one is "the scooby-doo show" which ran from 76-78 :)
@@ripdalt Thank you! I looked it up and the reason I knew some of the episodes and yet had never heard of The Scooby Doo Show was that part of season 3 of The Scooby Doo Show was originally released under Scooby Doo, Where are You! but later was repackaged into The Scooby Doo Show but now is sold as season 3 of Scooby Doo, Where are you! (So it seems this set of episodes is something of a vagabond in terms of distribution). Found your video for Scooby Doo Where Are You!, and it was great :)
I'm not sure if the ones involving lost treasure count as grand theft since the treasure wouldnt have rightful owners
_someone_ probably owns it
somehow i never got a single short in my feed despite being subbed to you
yeah i don't think shorts really get pushed unless as a notification for some reason. but that's okay, you're here now! :)
Ive never been to the underground of seattle i cant remember but arent there tours of it?
ooo i hope so! that'd be kinda cool
Next can you do a video where you charge the villains from the live-action movies (including the direct-to-tv/video ones), Be Cool Scooby-Doo, and Velma (I know a lot of people hate the latter, but I still think it would be interesting to see you do a video on it)?
i can and will do that very soon :)
@ thanks man
There should be a sequel where we watch all the Scooby villains' trials.
wait that'd be good :o
With the Gator Ghoul wouldn't that be insider trading?
i don't think any stocks were involved in it
You'd think the mining of uranium, oil, ect. would be worth a charge.
same! i'm always looking for laws about that for this, can't ever find a clear answer
Great job these video are great
thank you very much! :)
Np
10:28 I think you forgot a Fraud charge?
15:15 Wouldn't doing this require Breaking & Entering?
18:35 Wouldn't this count as Menacing?
all three are possible
Will there be one for A pup named Scooby Doo?
yes there will! one of my favorite scooby series :)
Really wish you'd list the minimum sentence on these too for context. The chances of them hitting these maximum sentences aren't high, and some charges could be argued against.
Though I understand why that might be a bit much given you're already looking into where the crimes were committed, with various national, state, county, city and sometimes TRIBAL laws in play plus perhaps looking at the air date of the episode and going by what the law was back in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
i see where you're coming from, but the big numbers are more fun :)
No manlet allowed in the world of Scooby-Doo villains.
vertically challenged
Next time you do one have the most heinous criminal sent to SUCC (Special Underground Criminal Containment) this time I’m saying both captain Celments and the bank robber sent there to join Dr Najib, Bob Taylor, Professor Pericles and the strongman
what do i have to do to get sent to SUCC? (asking for myself)
@@ripdalt well to get sent to SUCC you need to be the most heinous criminal of a scooby doo series it’s that simple
Don't forget Scrappy Doo for his heinous crimes in the live action Scooby Doo film.
@@charliecoccia8875 okay that one's fair, he's a bad dog in that one
@@charliecoccia8875 true professor Pericles won’t be the only animal in SUCC for long
I am Canadian, and I only now know that not all countries consider kidnapping worthy of a life sentence, and that disturbs me.
y'all got the right idea, it absolutely should be
Just a heads up, TH-cam is being weird and isn't showing this video at all in my subscriptions tab even though I can clearly see that I'm subscribed to your channel and haven't had problems with yours videos and posts showing up there in the past; the only reason I knew that the video was posted already was because it showed up in my recommend feed on the TH-cam home page
well that's no good, but at least you're here now! :)
Wait shaggy has an uncle who has a treasure that’s valuable enough to be stolen
that's basically the entirety of shaggy and scooby-doo get a clue
I always wanted to see these episodes
you should definitely watch them! they're a lot of fun :)
doesn't episode 13 take place in international waters? meaning everything they did was perfectly fine
yeah that one was tricky, but i just decided to go with it
There's so much træsure in this one
i sure do love me some traysure! :)
Am I wrong for thinking the black night was the first episode or are we talking about a different scooby doo show?
this is "the scooby-doo show", not to be confused with the show "scooby-doo where are you!". also yes the black knight is the first one :)
…no concurrent sentences?
nope :)
And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids and their dog!
thaaaat's right!
I like the idea but I thought you were going to like give us a better description of their crimes like what they were charged with
i thought i did that, but i can definitely be more clear with it. thank you!
What about the scooby gang what are there charges
a lot of people are asking, so i might just have to find out! :)
point of order. How many of these incidents were the SCooby Gang invited to the area being "haunted". Any one fo these where the gang was not hired or invited by the wronged party to do what they do there are no cases. The Scooby gang illegally doing what they do eliminates any possible charges since no evidence provided by them are admissable in court yet they have proof of legaly violations.
that would pretty much throw out every single case, and where's the fun in that? :)
So scooby doo dose teach you thing that you do't learn in school like no matter how old you are the crime s you comit go punished
_unless_ you have a lot of money!
@@ripdalt ture but as you have prooven and demnding on the crime and fines chrced for it you not to hve tons of moiney like over a 1000 dollers pluse the money you need on every day needs
I assume Scooby Dum received 20 consecutive life sentences for the crime of being Scooby Dum?
too light of a sentence honestly
Nah I'd give them to scrappy for his heinous crimes in the live action Scooby Doo film.
